  • I saw this production when I lived in NYC in the late 70s. It was truly one of the worst shows I've ever seen. Miles of gold lamé, ridiculous dance numbers and Melba Moore butchering "Stranger in Paradise" live in my nightmares. Gilbert Price was a standout however.

  • I´LL GIVE A FINGER TOO SEE THIS SHOW...THERE ISN´T ANY PHOTOS OR BOOK ABOUT IT? AND THE RECORD?...

  • It couldn't have been that much of a "disaster".

It was nominated for four Tony Awards & two Drama Desk Awards.

  • OMG, what memories. The show was a disaster, and played previews for months, to earn back its costs. The commercial also played on NY television for MONTHS!

  • hell yeah they need to bring it back! at least put out an album.

  • Wow!!!

    What a show!!

They need to bring THIS back to Broadway!!!

My generation needs to be reminded of what a REAL production looks like!!

  • I saw it thanks to this commercial, they didnt lie, I have never seen anything like it since....

  • what a wonderful play to see then...so beautiful..thanks
