@Lizzzeg Really? Its sucks, I get that you have likes and opinions about things, but "Nothing is true, but it is exactly how things are." you want to follow lyrics and adapt them to your understanding of life and beliefs? Don't be easily swayed, listen than decide for yourself what to do, don't assume that THAT is true. He is releasing his own frustrations and anger, and if you feel that way, why keep listening.
I don't care anymore . this world is shit anyways. I'm GONNA GO DANCE!
@Lizzzeg In conclusion- Beethoven also released emotions everyone does. . . but i rather listen to just a Harpsichord going into dimensions far past this pea brains perception.
@MegaGreengod I was into classical music when I was fucking 8 okay. You don't have to be some sort of musical genius to "get" classical music. Go see how well you "perceive" Trout Mask Replica and then we'll see who's the close-minded one.
stupid, calm down, this is a sensitivity test. Jesus! may he come back here soon Dear God and save these people! aww haha
I like Beefheart. . .Go listen to Nujabes (RIP) or maybe take a liking to Mogwai,, ,Devendra Banhart??. . . Listen to "Eyedea" (RIP). or my favorite man Tom Waits!! ! O!h! listen to this! Oh listen to That !!
Go Do this And that and other stuff. FARRRTT. my mind is an open book with only a sentence written: Love, and you'll be love. :)
Sad, that the emo nerds of the 2000's stole this look to play crap music and whine! This was once important music to those who were there in the early-mid 90's. This saved people from bad staright edge crap that rich middle class kids were playing at the time.
Go damn it. I can't believe these guys were playing this stuff in '96. The crowd doesn't even know what to do with themselves. And people think Refused were so fucking original. Shape of Punk To Come was pretty obviously a Swing Kids and Nation of Ulysses rip off. Not that it's a bad album, just pointing that out.
Absolutely right, and Denis has acknowledged it a couple of times... funny how after they met these guys they turned from roll call into the band that put out "Shape of Punk to Come."
The crowd new exactly what they were getting in to. A lot of people were more reserved back then because the sounds were new, but people still flocked to see these shows
true hardcore emo...like it meant to be...good memories...it's not punk it's real hardcore...justin pearson made a monster, like its other projects fuckin' clever!
first off to call someone a "fag" you are obviously 14 or so and emo has been around because Depeche Mode and a few other bands could have invented emo as well as Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day, and so on. You probably think The Locust is the best 'grind-core' band out there and you obsess on how amazing they are when really the do not give a shit about kids like you.
you're dumb riotpilotriot. im quoting you, "emo has been around because Depeche Mode and a few other bands could have invented emo as well as Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day"
* EMO IS NOT WEEZER AND JIMMY EAT WORLD *, you stupid fuck, real emo is Indian Summer, I Hate Myself, Toru Okada. plz do me a favor and indulge on this reply. Look the bands up, fool. true skramz forever!
and like a said this is punk, when you cover a joy division song, you are punk. Every band ive known JP to be in it was a punk bang, although he is going downhill with his conceited-ness
san diego sound. old style emo or screamo i guess. other bands such as gray matter, nation of ulyssess, the vss, antioch arrow, angel hair, and clickitak ikatowi were emo, but much more screaming involved. members from swing kids are now in the locust. this is a good vid. great find!

man the lyrics are so powerful... especially the part when he says, "YEEHHHAAAHHHHAAAHHH!!" no, when he says, "AHHHHHHGEEEEAHHHHYEEEE"
yeah, that's some real raw talent, Beethoven would be proud.
MegaGreengod 7 months ago
@MegaGreengod Yeah because Beethoven was a really good lyricist
Musical talent is totally dependent on lyric writing, I agree
btw here are the lyrics:
I've never been this route but it seems the same.
The prescription is automatic. Our existence will only be a minute.
Nothing is true, but it's exactly how things are.
This mandatory identification to complete the photograph of marginalized culture of mindless freaks.
