...and it took Obama only 6 months to effectively double the deficit Bush created in 8 years and another 6 months to make us look like total idiots in front of the entire international community. In the third 6 months he passed a health care bill which people detested (with good reason), and in the fourth 6 months he got most of his party booted from power (well Pelosi helped with that). In the third 6 months he passed a health care bill which people detested (with good reason), and in the fourth 6 months he got most of his party booted from power (well Pelosi helped with that). I was just using your logic of prices going up from taxes going up. Taxes went down under Bush and the upper class income rates skyrocketed. You'd think savings could be passed on to the consumer or worker just like you said increased costs would.
And I don't advocate capped wages but MOST economists believe that it IS the role of the government to ensure proper distribution of wealth through taxes in order for capitalism to sustain itself. Look up "Income Inequality in the United States."

I don't think anyone likes to have to spend billions of hard-earned taxpayers dollars on an industry that was deliberately under-regulated by the BUSH administration (lobbying caused this, btw.), but someone is going to have to clean up now!
Don't forget, it was the godfather of religiously tainted conservativism, G.W. Bush who turned a financially sound government into a bankrupt failure!

mat: Bush deserves most of the blame for the fiscal mess as well as the national debt. It just goes to show what happens when fiscally conservative principles are abandoned.
I give Obama some slack on fixing the economy and supported the bailouts and his "stimulus" bill as the lesser of the evils.
What I reject is Obama's out-year budgets that will triple the national debt in 10 yrs. Some call it an "investment"; I call it Tax, Borrow & Spend insanity.

The issues at hand began at the level of bank failure, lending groups forced to give bad loans, these banks were run by liberals most of which currently are involved in the obama administration, Republicans sounded the alarm several times on the issue since 2003 and were cussed out by the Democrats in congress (video of it is right here on youtube).
2) Bush has next to no conservatism, he spend money like a liberal, and Obama is just like him only worse.

I don't think, personal insults are valid arguments in a political discussion. Who, did you say, made the rogue lending policies and the gambling that took place in the banking sector over the last (coincidence) eight years possible? I would be inclined to hold the nation's political leaders responsible. Who headed them, if not the President? In some situations, doing nothing is worse than doing the wrong things. To call people with other political views names doesn't change anything.

Well for starters dipshit Congress makes such policy, and it was made back in the 90's, the changes to the CRA forced banks into making risky loans, they had no choice else they be sued for not giving them, this causes a housing bubble that hit around 1995 and house prices rose against inflation.

You are throwing bogus statements out as facts because it's what you want to believe, I can tell you specific bills put into effect and their specific results, you are telling me that Bush deregulated but you can't provide me with any specific bill, any specific item at all, you just know that Republicans don't jump on the regulation bandwagon, so you don't have to back that up with anything nor can you.
