@TheMayraa92 It might be because when you had the peach fuzz on your face, it helped to absorb some of the oil rather than the oil sitting and absorbing directly into your skin.
i bought this product in november and it worked out perfectlyy and i love it:).. til barely rite now i started noticing that i started to break out on my lower chheks and its wierd because ive never had breakouts in that area..i was wondering if it was because of the spring it?.. how long do you have to change it and get a new one?? thanks if yu can help me pliz(:
@TheMayraa92 I really don't know! Are you cleaning it well between uses?? Is it the proper hypoallergenic one from myspringit(dot)com or a cheapo one from e-bay?? Or it could be something else completely!?
I finalyy got mine today and so i decided to try it..i used it on a side of my face and i started to notice little red bumps in the area i had tried it in so i stopped and didnt continue nomore....Is this normal??i was realyy excited of trying it till that happened..
@TheMayraa92 I think it is normal enough. I get a little red after. It should just disappear after a few hours tops! I'd say try it again and if they disappear and aren't painful then it should be ok. Just make sure that your skin and the my spring it are clean! x
I use these, they're fab, but I always get them MUCH cheaper on ebay, looks like the same one even! I was just about to stock up, and I've seen x2 for £2.49!! So I think this one is rather overpriced, though the pouch is nice.
@abbers83 The ones on e-bay are made from a cheaper material that isn't hypoallergenic though so some people may react to it. Also they probably wouldn't last as long. That's not to say though that they wouldn't suit some people!!
Hi Siobhan. I've tried this once, and found that it worked pretty good on fine hair (after some practice), and wasn't too painful. However, it really hurt on deeply rooted hair. I don't know if I can make myself try it there again. :) Thanks for your review.
I'm glad I don't have visible hairs over my lip or so...
this thing looks so strange...
and I don't think it's good to remove those fine hairs in the face, cause I did that a few times on my arms and these fine hairs on my arms grew much more and darker on my arms after that... i would never do that again...
Hia, I've tried waxing, sugaring, threading, shaving...and I exfoliate really well, with good (Body Shop mainly) products and mits and loofahs. And I always always always get sore in-grown hairs. Any tips anyone?
@pebbles802 Not when removed from the root, in fact the opposite is generally true. That is generally though. You'll always come accross people who have regret stories!! Usually only if the root area is damaged, infected etc will it come back darker etc
I bought one about 2 months ago and this is a GREAT review! It takes a while to get the hang of it and you have to go over the same area a lot to get the desired result. BUT to me the results were def worth it!
thanks for the review! I appreciate the effort and work you put into it to give us an educated and honest review (like going through all that pain!!) :) I've used it before and I think it's great for travel..no messy wax! :) sometimes i do perfer the waxing though cause it's a quick pain that's over pretty fast... and i don't have to go over the areas over and over again.
@OhRanda The one's available for that cheap on ebay are cheap because they are made out of cheap metal that is not hypoallergenic. Also the coil is not as sturdy and it would basically loosen after a shorter while. The old adage "you pay for what you get" definately applies here!!
I got my face threaded and it was great for removing the downy hair from my face. I noticed that my face looked brighter and my makeup applied and looked better.
I bought this about 2 months ago thinking that I would finally find something that will help me to remove my fair, but very strong hair. However, I can't still get used to it (I try once a week) as sometimes it removes my hair and sometimes not. I wonder what I am doing wrong...
@laitae I think you definately need to try something like that alot more that once a week. your skin won't get used to it at that pace!! Also if your hairs are very strong at the root, it's gonna hurt no matter what form of removal from the root you try!! Have you considered a hair removal cream??
I did a review on this a few days ago lol it's aiiight but not for me. It's too slow =/ or maybe I'm just impatient. I wish it worked out better for me because I'd save so much money in the long run!
@midgetmakeup I think it'll be so different for everyone to be honest. I find it ok probably because I have very fine hair and not too much of it so not much to remove in the first place!!
I don't believe you should use it to remove those really fine, downy hairs. I mean it's there for a reason and it's not very visible, I do understand if you'd wanna use it for your moustache if it's visible (dark hairs or whatever) or brows (if it works for that) because that's a more sensitive thing for women. And like you said, when you remove hair it grows back more course or darker.
@DontBotherTETRiS Yeah exactly!! Though it shouldn't grow back thicker or darker, that hardly happens when removing from the root unless there is so form of damage when removing!
great review siobhan! u go over all the mains points. as you say i dont think its worth while doing it if you have no real need. I have removed hair on my cheeks before and found my makeup didnt sit right after. as if the makeup needs a little bit of hair 2 stick 2. maybe its just me :P
@Friel85 I totally agree. That hair is there for a reason, so leave it...UNLESS that is it's very noticable in places or you have a small tuft that is alot denser than everywhere else. I really think only do if you have to!!
@Friel85 what do u mean ur makeup didnt sit right?? ..i threaded the sides of my face and now its lighter than the rest of my face.is it because of threading?
@TheMayraa92 It might be because when you had the peach fuzz on your face, it helped to absorb some of the oil rather than the oil sitting and absorbing directly into your skin.

You don't have to get the original, expensive, brand name "hypoallergenic" product. just clean it regularly with rubbing alcohol and you're good.
