  • i just typed potatoe in because i was bored...

  • i just searched potatoe

  • @MrSUPERJACK2010 Me too! I spelled it that way to see if anyone spelled it wrong in their title!

    their language is annoying me.

  • actually its quiet usefull since the potatoe absorbs less water. Thats important for making things like gnocchi ;).

  • I'm probably gonna go to hell for saying this but I have a feeling Hitler would be so happy if he saw this...

  • @kokofisher and I'm probably going to hell for laughing at it :'D

  • There is this new thing called a POTATO PEELER. It takes a few seconds, rather than an hour to take the skin off a goddamn potato. Japan puts POT in POTATO.

  • *O* nice!

  • I think I'll start peeling potatoes this way :O

  • how this works is that the potatoes are so confused by going from hot to cold that they just take their cloths off

  • i've been in japan for 20 years and i learned alot of things regarding heathy ways and technics in preparing dish. As you see guys ,japanese are very health concious about the foods they eat.

on this video ↑ they don't peel potatoes before boiling because if you do that

all the necessary vitamins will gone.instead just put a small cut around the potato and boil.In this way you can eat potatoes with necessary vitamins retained.

This is a helpful way to be healthy ^ ^

  • @simplemindize Oh shut up already. >.>

  • I live in the united states of america and I have never seen this odd method

  • i loved the part where some guy in the background said sugoi^^

  • you better order a willy waller 2006

  • Or you could use a potatoe peeler...

  • @arizonanic try peeling a boiled potato with it then.

  • Having to prep ice water seems more troublesome then simply using a potato peeler >.<

  • Thumbs up if you peel onions like the dumb bitch at the start

  • NO! That's too uncomplicated. I will stick will my complicated peeler.

  • NO!

  • that was fuckening aswome

  • Wow, good technique! I'm gonna use it from now on :P

  • that was awesome

  • the pokemon narrating this video is awesome!

  • like the soundeffects.

  • @Masselboiij The thing is that the potatoe peeler is one of the most primitive and ineffective inventions on the face of the earth. try "peeling" your potatoes with a spoon, i bet you will find how silly the potatoe peeler really is...

  • How to peel a potatoe in Europe.

Step 1: Take a potatoe and a potatoe peeler

Step 2: peel the skin off with the peeler

Step 3: cook, boil or whatever the potatoe

    Step 4: ???

Step 5: Profit + warm and peeled potatoe

  • PO-TA-TO

  • Lol, who didn't know this already? THis is so common knowledge. Of course, Asian girls make everything cuter. ;D

  • @ZachBMil How can we tell you didn't type the year wrong with all of the other misspellings. Anyhow, I'll bite. What did they make in 1923?

  • @dumfart21 LOL

  • im actually amazed

  • ok so you slash a string around the potato and cookit the you drop it in cold water for 10 sec then you just drag it of?

  • do the same with tomato... it works.

  • why do all asians talk like dat?

  • @prettygirlx4 just japanese people

  • @prettygirlx4 why do all whites not talking like dat?

  • @prettygirlx4 they want to do comical production

    because just a littlle trivia

  • The peels are the most nutricious part -.-

  • @CharinZain They are also the most toxic part. Glycoalkaloids have the highest concentration just under the skin. Peeling will remove this layer.

  • @NoOne3234 If it dosent kill you it will make you stronger!!!!

(or cause you a horrible desease)

  • cool! now you dont waste the potato flesh when you peel cuz u know you take off alot of te potatoe and not just the skin when you use a knife =_=;

  • doesnt the potato go cold?? I want my potato hot DAMMIT!!

  • @hachiman2012 in the explanation the annoying voice says the heat inside the potato actually keeps it rather hot regardless, and also you only keep it in the water for 10 seconds, so yes you can still play hot potato all you like :P

  • It's science~/

  • Uhh need to try it!! In 20 potatoes because takes forever on peeling it

  • the skin falls right off.. the skin falls right off

  • fucking Japs -__-... always got something up their sleeves

  • Anyone who knows some moderate cooking skills would know this trick. but none use it because it takes too long.. I personally prefer to use it on peppers and tomatoes to make a great salsa.

  • can someone explain to me what just happened i realllly want to try this :)))) pretty please with suger on top :)))

  • @animelover3083 okay, before u boil the potatoe you cut around the middle of it (just as shown) when its done u put it in ice cold water for 10 seconds then you do the 'magic'

    hope this helps ^^

  • This technique also works on people.

  • @Autolycus84 WHAT?!? O_O

  • OMG! really cool! :-)

  • she sounds like the girl from super money ball

  • now that was cool............ but the peel tastes good

  • too much work

  • can anyone tell me how long do we need to boil the potato and how long do we have to put it on ice ?

  • @peacekeeper2808 i am guessing its 10 sec in the cold water cause she counted to 10, and they prolly cooked it till it was done so how ever long it takes to boil a potato

  • @Khadgare normal cook time 10 or 15 min

  • wow!! i gotta say japanese people have alot of imagination

  • TIS MAGIC! BURN THE WITCH!

  • @wtf544 Only if she ways the same as a duck. LOL

  • @pikaqiu888 10 seconds is too much time?

  • @pikaqiu888 What if you put a whole bunch in!

  • cooking mama :D

  • well i knew this years ago my grandparents do that all the time and the taste sucks

  • i peel potato with my TEETH fuck this...

  • wowser

  • @AbhorTheBeast Well then, who eats your saliva?

  • why not just use one of those things. Wait what are they called?? oh a potato peeler!!

in my opinion it is faster than boiling the water, then getting the ice water, and everything else.

  • True, but this is just i guess a cool way to do it? maybe good for some science experiment in middle school or something

  • @itsssannie really? haven't you thought about someone who actually wants to eat a boiled potatoe?

  • @quelorepario calm down, am just saying that it's faster to use a potato peeler in my opinion.

however, if you needed to boil a potato for a recipe or something, then this would come in handy. cause you don't really want to make fries or baked potato if it is already boiled.

  • @itsssannie lol, of course... I think that is exactly the point. It wouldn't be very smart to use a boiled potato for a fried dish, would it? Do we have to even mention it? LOL

But for the rest of the commentators:

Rule 1: If you need a fried/roasted potato, don't boil it.

Rule 2: If you need a boiled potato, don't fry it.

Rule 3: If you will boil a potato, you can use this blanch (boil-peel) technique and save time.

Rule 4: If you are gonna fry/roast the potato, go to rule 1.

  • Who the hell peels the potatos with their fingers?^^

  • kewl!!

  • i would just eat the peels too -_-

  • thats the same way like peeling tomatoes (:

  • why would oyu want peel tomatoes thats like the weirdest shit i heard today

  • Its called blanching, Put tomatoes in boiling water then into ice water.

    peel of the skin.

  • @ShadowOfDeth1

many chefs peel tomatoes, specially in high class restaurants. :o

I peel and remove their seeds when I make desserts with tomatoes. It removes the...how do you call? ...green smell? and makes it taste like fruit. ^^

  • Great method 0o0 I´ll try it!

  • hmmm, why waste all that time when u can just peel it.

  • how smart!

  • wow, ide yg keren bgt nih, BTW ane pertamax kah ?

  • So basically you blanch it?

  • loalz..

  • японцы не перестают удивлять

  • Why does everything these ppl do sound like pokemon!?

  • amazing!

  • So wait, you just put it in ice water for 10 seconds then pull?

  • Japanese music scores make me lol
