  • thank you!!!

  • you look AMAZING in red! hahaha sorry...really random but you do(: great video too!

  • Hi Emily! Help please can't seem to find the search button you mentioned to find specific videos you've made??? You are soooo gorgeous! love your tutorial videos!!!! Thanks for all your help!

  • @37einna on her main page click on her uploads to show the list and then on the right it should have a search box. hope this helps, I just used this myself to find some e.l.f. videos.

  • By the way, this is my first time watching your videos! I'm so glad I ran into them on youtube! Thank you :)

  • Wow, thank you so much. Great advice. Great advice with your healthy hair video also. I can tell you genuinely care to help people out, and I can tell you are very experienced too. I am 20 years old and will definitely check out some more of your videos. I am the type of person you were mentioning who is not into makeup in general, but I am into makeup to the extent where I want a nice natural look. This was very helpful and I will check out your Teen Tutorial and Everyday Eye videos!

  • your teeth are soooo white!! pretty

  • you're beautiful :)

  • OMG your teeth are amazing! O_O

  • sensational looking tips and hints. appreciate it, has anyone tested Maybelline's new range of products? it's hard to obtain cosmetics in Peetz but you can get some amazing samples of makeup from "Gratis-Makeup-Samples"! there ace.

  • you're so sexy :) can you make a video on how you do your eyes?

  • You are such an inspiration for all of us future female broadcasters. Needless to say your videos helped me secure anchor for my college's news program.

    THANK-YOU!

  • A smart tip that will save you money...Purpose cleanser is made by Johnson and Johnson. Just like the baby wash! It even has the same ingredients and the same smell and color! If they are not identical, they are VERY close and work the same. Just refill your Purpose bottle with good ol' J&J baby wash. If you want to go a step further, the store brand of J&J type wash will do the same :)

  • Your skin is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for these awesome tips :)

  • Wow, Your complexion is flawless :) This video was full of great tips and advice, thanks

  • Can you do a tutorial on how you style your bangs

  • AHHHHHH! AHHHHH!!! AHHHHHH!!!! This is seriously what I have been looking for on Youtube for the past week and a half. I am in the same boat!

  • I definitely agree about layering the tinted moisturizer and powder. For natural, yet full coverage, I skip my moisturizer and use Cover Girl Tinted Moisture (which has SPF) and L'Oreal True Match Powder. The tinted moisturizer gives enough moisture, and the powder keeps the oil down.

  • I love clinique's liquid facial soap to wash my face, it really cleared up my skin. To take my make up off, I use olive oil. Very natural and good for your skin. To moisturize I love dramatically different moisturizer or moisture surge from clinique.

  • Kirkland Wipes( will remove every bit of a makeup without drying skin(costco) brand better than MAC Wipes, Avon beyond color Lip plumping conditioner/ Thayers Alcohol free skin toner rose water or witch hazel with aloe vera

  • Some products that I like (skin care):

Purpose face wash/ Mary kay soap bar(very gentle) / cetaphil antibactarial soap bar......Neutrogena oil free sensitive skin moisturizer at night/cetaphil all skin type face lotion.(night)........Eucerine everyday face lotion SPF30(day)/ Neutrogena oil free moisturizer SPF15/Neutrogena dry touch spf70 sunblock helioplex......

  • yay!! im a freshman in college too!! not very many people at my school wear make up to school including me and we're about as south as it gets. (just sayin) i've never been one to wear a lot of makeup. but i do need a good skincare routine!! thanks so much for this video!!

  • Great Video.........Thanks!!

  • alot of girls dont wear makeup to school, whether it be highschool or college, but i've been wearing a full face of makeup since grade 10 and i'm not gonna lie, i do feel out of place. do you think wearing lipstick and gloss and eyeshadow is too much for everyday college?

  • I always wore makeup every day and still do. I think it might be a cultural thing. Here in the south, alot of girls like to dress up and look their best every day. When you feel comfortable with the way you look, everything else falls into place :) Looks aren't everything but showing pride in your appearance can factor into how you're treated and how you see yourself.

  • no. the reason people dont really wear makeup in college is because they normally dont have enough time. if you want to wear makeup then do it :)

  • I think leave it with a light base, mascara/curl eyelashes, tinted lip balm and maybe a really light wash of blush for day if you like wearing makeup. That's what I do, and then leave the eyeshadow and lipstick for night/not just a school day.

  • I'm in the same boat as Ally! Thanks for the wonderful video! : )

  • oh my days, thankyou so much for uploading this!

i found this really useful as, though i'm not going off to uni this year, i am taking a gap year and am planning on making this year very productive so will be very busy and i have recently become very concerned about healthy skin, so this was uber helpful!

also, your eyes look gorgeous here!

    thanks, tc xo

  • Excellent advice. If young women get into the habit of always washing their faces and removing their makeup and always wearing sunscreen (all over, not just on the faces) they can enjoy good skin for years to come. The importance of sunscreen cannot be stressed enough. My mother is very fair and stayed out of the sun even during the '70's when tans were cool and everybody else fried themselves with baby oil. She looks years younger than other women her age.

  • In college, after the first month I gave up on wearing makeup and ended up cutting my waist length hair to my shoulders. I was always so exhausted and busy either from studying, working, activities on campus, you don't have the time and no one cares. I never wore pajamas to class but alot of people on campus did.

  • Totally agree!

  • your tips are awesome!

  • Your necklace is beautiful! I noticed it looks exactly like a gift a family friend received from her husband. I wonder if it's the same one. :)

  • Olive oil is very good for makeup removal and rejuvenating your skin. Look at Michelle Phan's review on it, I love it!

  • So many wonderful tips contained in this video. Thank you so much, Emily!!!

  • Great advice. Im so glad you did this video. It helped me out a lot.

  • hmm.. activitiesss. ;P

  • I forgot one more thing. I am in love with the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment its a little pricey, but its a miracle worker for pimples just dab a little on at night and the next morning they're almost gone. It can dry your skin in the little area you apply it on though but sooo worth the money! Trust me!

  • I love the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads it has two sides to it for just taking of your makeup and cleansing it, and on the other side for deep scrubbing. After I wash that off I apply my ponds dry skin cream, it is super affordable. And twice a week I use Queen Helenes Mint Julep Masque; its like a clay mask you only wear it for 15 min and last week i went to Walgreens and they had buy one get one free and they're only like $3.50

  • I highly recommend the Mary Kay lightweight moisturizer for college-aged ladies (sorry I forget what range name its from). I used it all through college and still now at 26. It's good for combination-oily skin and provides a nice base/primer-type finish for applying mineral foundations on top. It's also reasonably priced for such a great product and pretty mild. :) Good luck in college Ally!

  • This video really helped me lots! :)

REQUEST: will you please do a really light brown and brown look like a neautral look or a school look that you dont have to look like your wearing a lot of make up?

    thx

    luv ya

  • I like the boxing match in the backround! ding ding ding!

    hehe!

  • the makeup remover wipes from dollar general are awesome and they are only 2.00 or 3.00 dollars and they don't dry out and they remove eyemake also

  • do they get a funky smell cuz I've bought some from my supermarket (generic) and they dry out some and get this funky "wet rag" smell, so end up throwing them out!

  • i was just wondering what would be a good age should someone start to use eye creams?

and is there any drug store eye creams that you would suggest purchasing?

    PLEASE, PLEASE REPLY!!(:

  • Hey! Ideally you should use an eye cream as soon as you start using a regular moisturizer but as we all know that's not the realitly for most of us, I'd say about 18 is a good age to start using something on your eyes. The Garnier Caffein rollon (the green roll-on bottle) moisturizes and helps make your skin look and feel less tired. Until about, say, 25 or so, you don't need something to fill wrinkles or fine lines unless you REALLY start feeling the need of it. Hope I helped :)

  • i would start around your mid 20's.

  • omg im gonna be an honors freshman in college too!! thanks for this vid! =-D

  • Purpose cleanser is the shit.

  • how to actually cover ur pimple /scar or blemises, i have tried to cover my scar with concillor but skill i can see my concillor even after putting foundation on

  • how do you exfoliate your lips?? cause my lips always get chapped even though i ALWAYS use chapstick and sometimes when i use lipstick , before i apply the lipstick i apply chapstick so my lips can have some kind of moisture..and after witht the lipstick you can see cracks and sort of like dead skin on there :/ so do you know of any lips exfoliaters like from walmart, target or any drug stores??

    please help

  • There's a really good lip exfoliating product by Nutregena! I'm not sure what the exact name is, but it looks like a lip balm in a little pot. The one I have is pink and has jojoba oil in it. It's wonderful!

  • You can make one for really cheap. Just mix some brown sugar, or regular sugar and a bit of honey, until it makes a paste like consistency [I suggest only making enough for one use at a time]. Then just use your finger, scoop some onto you're lips and gently scrub. Then rinse off with some water. =) Not only does it exfoliate, the honey moisturizes as well.

  • Something to add: Be prepared for the possibility of experiencing a lot of changes with your skin, especially if you're going to school far away. I live in the midwest, but go to school on the east coast. During my first year I had some serious sensitivity and extreme dryness issues that I'd never encountered before. This isn't all that surprising with suddenly changing to living in a different climate (even different mineral content in tap water).

  • These are good tips but bear in mind college is not high school. Nobody cares what you look like or hardly pays attention. Everyone is there by choice to learn, not like high school.

  • its not high school and people are more forgiving. but i pay attention! gotta dress to impress!

  • ~claps loudly~ yes i LOVED college hated highschool ppl would be worried about what kind of shoes ppl wore.

  • @banjobama But it is important to look presentable because the people you meet on campus could someday be your boss. Notice how successful people always look nice? Dress for success :)

  • @mlcxyz I agree. Just cuz ur in uni doesn't mean you need to look like crap. There are professors that might actually hire you to be teaching assistants or work on research with them so it's better to look polished than show up in your pajamas. =p

  • omgg.... ths is sooo great!! im going off 2 college 4 the 1st time next week...

  • u look gorgoues in this vid and great tips! :)

  • You're a doll! Another great, helpful video!

    <3 Elle

  • i love purpose face wash! I always used the pump, the bar gets messy...Purpose is so gentle on your eyes too. Cetaphil is great as well, but it burned my eyes..Great video, it's so hard in college to get into a routine of washing your face everynight...

  • Great vid! I would also add that it is important that she drink lots of water and eat veggies regularly. I'm in college now, and I know how easily accessible some foods are; however, drinking water and switching up the veggies I eat does help with the overall appearance of my skin, which is acne prone as well :(

  • Yes, oil-free neutrogena moisture works great for oily skin. I have oily skin and this is one of the few moisturizers that don't leave that oily finish.

  • Great Vid! =) I love the olay cloths! My skin feel so soft right after I use it.

  • really great videos!! and by any chance anyone reccomend a product to reduce puffy eyes and dark circles?

  • Your makeup looks great!

  • I agree! please do a tutorial! :)

  • thanks so much for this vid!! i was just thinking about this :D

  • What a fantastic video! If I only had all of this knowledge when I was in my teens and early 20's... oy, I used to use Noxema to wash with back in the 70's and that's what probbly gave my my pimples!! ~Babs~

  • My dermatologist told me to throw out all other products and only use Cetaphil. I use Cetaphil bar soap on my face in the shower, the cleaner to wash off makeup at night, and the 50spf moisturizer under my foundation during the day. My skin looks better at 31 then it ever did in my teens and early 20s.

  • really helpful video! thanks :)

  • CETAPHIL! CETAPHIL! CETAPHIL! I cant say it enough (apparentally lol) but Loraine, TheCurrentCustoms recommended it and it is amazing!! No kidding! I'm 20 and never really broke out bad in my teens but now (prolly bc the more makeup) I've been breaking out more and in one week... my skin is completely clear!! and Vickery & Clarke's moisturizer (on at CVS that I know of) for oily/combo!

  • I love that lip color on you, it's very flatering!!

  • I've been doing the skincare routine that you've mentioned..i'm also going off to college this year; in fact, i'm heading off tomorrow morning!

  • You look like a much much prettier Stephenie Meyer emily.

  • thanks!! this helps.. i just started college!!!

  • Good tips! I also use Purpose cleanser because I have sensitive skin. Its awesome stuff!

  • Ive never heard of it. I just started using cetaphil and I LOVED it for the first couple of days but its starting to really dry my skin out and I do NOT need that, my skin is VERY dry and VERY sensitive already. So..where can I find this?

  • You can find Purpose at any drug store..its pretty much widely available at Target, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc. Its usually like 5 or 6 dollars too.

  • Is it with the face wash? Hmm Ive never seen it at wal mart

  • Yep its in that aisle...it doesnt stand out or anything so you may have never noticed it before and might have to search a bit. Its in a clear bottle with a blue label and has a pump.

  • WOW your face is PERFECT!!!!

  • I'm eighteen and currently in college. I recently started to use an eye cream to hydrate the skin around my eyes because I really did have dry skin around there! I think it depends on the person whether they need to use an eye cream (or any other product) or not.

  • Very true. I just take my makeup off, wash my face, and use toner. My skin is too ioly for moisturizer =\

  • Thank you so much for this! This will deffinately be put to good use.

By the way, I love the cheek colour you have on in this video. May I just ask what colour is it?

  • I don't really think that eye cream is necessary just a moisturizer. I think its kind of a waste of money really.

  • You look extra pretty in this video

  • try the COstco brand, Kirkland brand, face wipes.

they are very cheap and very good!

  • YES YES YES!!!! The kirkland brand for costco are AWESOME!!!!! There are so many and it is cheap!

  • yeah! I think xsparkage has a video review comparing them to MAC wipes

  • i love those olay things! neutrogena cloths work really good too. =)

  • very helpful!ur so beautiful! lol
