  • The tanker train hauled by the Q1 have no barrier wagons in-between the loco and first tank wagon and the last tank wagon and the brakevan.

  • ohhh ta :)

  • the building in front of the coal stage and the engine shed what is that?

  • @tommygrules4life

Its most likely a model of a workshop, prototypically used for minor repairs and maintenance of locos.

  • Do you know where the Locomotive Shed is from or is it scratch built?

  • @JacSGWR

No idea. I just filmed the layout at an exhibition many years ago. Haven't seen the layout since.

  • Nice work, is the 47XX Kit or scratch ?

  • @gaz318

    No idea, sorry.

  • Yes,i used to listen to a lot of Argo Transacord steam sound records.Sit slap-bang in the middle of both speakers, and let the volume rip!As the train passes,it goes from one speaker across to the other.Magic Stuff.

  • Are some of those locos sound chipped?Only i did´nt think we had sound chips in 2004.Could be the´re just recordings??Very atmospheric,in any case.

  • The models didn't have sound chips, I've just added sound from a recording I had.

  • where does the train go at 1:00 it juat dissapears

  • The rear running roads disappear into the scenery and do a loop around the back of the layout before appearing at the other end again.

  • interesting action let down by the constant loco sound - even when locos were not moving

  • nice layout

  • at 00:19 it looks like didcot :D
