He server in the blackwatch. my Brother in law was also in Somlia during Operation Restore Hope but he was back at the hanger when the 2 blackhawks got shot down. he dosent like to talk about it that much becasue a freind of his died in his arms.

my granddad (1917- feb-27 2008) sgt Charlie white of the royal artillery.
he was in Dunkirk ,north Africa, d-day, operation market garden, the battle of the bulge. he somehow survived he got shot twice and hit by shrapnel in the back in north Africa. but during the six years he only got 3 days leave back in england.
he was a great granddad and i will always be proud of him and the sacrifice he made for england and the rest of the world.
thats touching...actually my grandfather was in the war as well which is what compelled me to make the remebrance videos. he flew a p51 mustang, performed many duties before he was shot down and became a POW for 2 years. he recorded his whole war experience in a red cross war log given to him while a prisoner. we should all be proud
were only human, its within are DNA to destroy our selfs

My grandafather was a air gunner
he would fly in a B-24 agaisn't the german subs
he still hasn't told me anything about what he did....
which kinda scares me because i want to be a fighter pilot (or something in the military)
and watching this makes me feel proud to know that he helped save men

very touching video. My grnadad was in the raiding support regiment (british) and was also in the SAS from 1943 to 1945. Keep it up m8 :).
