Average White Band were always a great band. This is the lineup I remember seeing all the time back in the early seventies. They used to come to a club called Center Stage in East Providence, Rhode Island frequently. Tickets were only five, six, and seven dollars. And they played for a good two or more hours. The original drummer Robbie Macintosh died from an overdose I believe. Then Steve Ferrone took over the drums. The A.W.B. of today doesn't even come close. Mike G. Drums/Percussion. R.I.

There is a great contemporary funk horn section from Scotland called the Haggis Horns. And as far as I'm concerned the best funk band today is from Leeds, England called The New Mastersounds. If you dig this you'll dig those two bands.

Incredible Band one of the funkiest jams of all time! AWB FUCKING ROCKS!!! No Body Knew They Where White back then. Actually even with the name they thought it was a gimmick some brothers had. They all got that much soul. Every part of this song, every instrument section was funky souful tight. Even with the brother on the drums they proved that some "White Boys Can Funk!"
