Might - 3.3 PTR Festergut v2

The last time I did this that we hit the enrage (he actually dropped literally at the 5min 0 second mark) I popped deterrence just to see if it would do anything as I was about to die anyway, all my shots were on cd with no way to squeeze off another steady so I figured I would give my own personal bubble a try.....and it actually saved my ass from his insta kill enrage on live servers. Not sure if that's meant to work but I didn't see anything else that would have pulled my ass out of the fire.

hmm when we fought him and he enraged he just killed whole raid in 2 seconds.. thats weird

depends on what stage of the fight you're on. If theirs any sort of aoe damage going out at the time of enrage that damage will just kill you, if not - you get lucky!

isnt enrage always on the same timer? like you will always end up at the same phase no matter what

abilities sometimes delay, Most boss ability's come off cooldown but arnt used for a couple seconds or sometimes used right away. Ofcourse this boss doesnt have any 'phase change' effect so yes you're right, in most cases every fights the same - but this is also a PTR recording ;) In live his health is much lower

What settings are you using to get your vid that high quality? On my computer my vid is like 100% quality but youtube kills it when I upload. Any tips that may help me? I have a sample of my quality in my videos.

I render at a 1680x1050 resolution in a .mp4 encoding. (AVC/AAC - .MP4). MP4 encoding settings are 29.97FPS, 10mbps max, 8mbps average. Audio is just 48kHz.

May i ask u which add on u use to keep track of surge of light/serendipity and to warn u when circle of healing is off cooldown?

That addon is called Surgetrack and works for any class and any buff (such as trinket procs and Valanyr mace)

You can trick/cheat out of vial by having all ranged/heal melee hit the boss for 2/3 seconds. Which is piss easy since you're already grouped up hugging the boss.

So it's basically, use def cd's and heal hard when he's fully inhaled. Group up on spored ppl to build shadow res. One thing I don't get, though. He's supposed to shoot out vile gas into a targeted area that makes ppl vomit. I couldn't see any area in the room that looked like it was being hit with something special. How do you know where it is?

Vial is targeted on about 3-4 players (cant remember exactly) and it has a 'conflag' mechanic to it in that it will spread to anyone within' 15yards. If we're not grouped up for the spore shadow debuff we spread out for vial. Its only targeted on ranged targets so its never a problem for melee.

Still too easy for normal mode even, but much better that it was before. Small buff to tank damage and he's win.

Yes because the #5 (or 8 depending on which site you use) guild in the world hitting enrage on a normal mode boss means this is obviously too easy. If a guild in mostly 258 gear is hitting enrage, imagine the problems a normal progression guild (ie in 245 gear) will have on him.

There's a much easier way to do it! We killed it with 30 sec left on enrage, this was pretty clean though.

Thats the best part about the PTR is finding out new abilities and how to deal with them in the best way
