Indeed, Alain is the best guitarist going right now period - imho. Josh is one of my faves though, he has such an identifiable sound. I was so glad to hear Alain was backing them up, I honestly can't think of anyone better for the job.

Zeppelins "Ten Years Gone" IS played in drop D, as is "Moby Dick" (Kashmir is DADGAD).

There would not be anything sacrilegious or novel in any of them playing in drop D or D Standard. It's not like they are going to sound like some new sh#thead band that plays in drop D if they use it.

If THEY use it, it will be mainly to allow the vocal to be in the best possible key & it will STILL be rock & roll.
