There is also the red tuck, seals plastic water tight and is super sticky but no fabric strands for extra strength. And in the army we had Gun tape, it was a super sicky and waterproof version that was green/olive drab and we could use it for anyhing, waterproofing tents, repairing liferafts, appling field dressings,etc. Too bad we can't buy gun tape publically.

Gorilla tape is awesome! When the landlord flooded me with a broken upstairs toilet. I rigged-up a watertight "ceiling" made with heavy duty garbage bags & Gorilla tape. I put a hose in it surrounded by plumbers tape & Gorilla tape & it held all day with only an umbrella for support (perched between woodwork & a pipe) & when I got home I'd drain the contents into a bucket of bleach.
