regardless weather or not you weigh 80kg you were still over the limit even if it was by 3kg. Thats not virgins fault its yours, if they did this to call guests then thats almost an extra 600kg.

u cant complain to much yea sure quantas is the best hands down but its not cheap where virgin is the best value for money n yes jetstar is cheaper but if u want to hav any checked baggage at min its n extra $40 where with virgin its only $10

I have watched this 3 times, the take-off is absolutely superb and brilliant filming. I get your point re: baggage etc when someone who is a lot heavier than you but not overweight on baggage gets no extra charges, and I agree it would have taken seconds for them to allow you to remove something from your case. They should weigh 'person, cases and hand luggage' as a whole to get the overall weight to make it fair to everyone...but hey! thats to simple eh!
