Homecoming is alot better- combat is better, environments are awesome. Movie was pretty good aswell, except they changed pyramid head's head. Nothing will beat silent hill 2 though

This has to be one of the best cutscenes in the entire series, graphics-wise. Just the sheer awesomeness of it radiates through the screen.

Well, Silent Hill Origins is just more like shit.

Silent Hill Homecoming takes something from the film, but it uses those elements to create a perfect episode of the saga.

Trust me, I ended the game four times, and it gets better once you finish it the first time. It has an amazing story, and the atmosphere is just like the others Silent Hill. SH Origins, instead, is a mere fan service, I ended it in 3 hours, and they were 3 hours of agony.

If you're talking to me, my first Silent Hill was the first indeed. I ended it at the age of 10. And, it's still one of my favourite games. The series, however, is going to waste, with episodes such Origins and Shattered Memories (that seems to be very bad).

Don't judge a book for its cover, you haven't even played the game yet, Homecoming was the only stand alone game, and the fighting system, the overused PH from the movie, and the otherworld transition... ALL FROM THA AWFUL MOVIE. They should have changed Homecoming for "Silent Hill Movie, The Game"

I judge this book for the pages I've read so far, and I don't like the way they took the first game and had fun messing everything up.

Homecoming has challenging fights, the passage to the Otherworld is well done, and Pyramid Head is not overused at all. It is a great character, part of the cult of Silent Hill (and not only of James's mind) and his appearances are few but really enjoyable and, above all, have a meaning (so it's not pure fan-service, as the entire Origin is).

Is overused, they used him in the movie just because he's well known for his appearence in SH2, but doesn't have the same goddamn impact, even so his design was changed, Doueble Helix use the same design here and he doesn't have a particular reason to be there, he doesn't have the same simbolism as PH of SH2 or The Butcher in Origins (Who represent Travis's past life, where he was a killer)

But that's just my opinion

its about a guy who's drives a truck and then finds himself in silent hill and then stuff happens. but i don't know why he goes into the town. u'll have to ask someone. sorry that's all i know cause i skipped a lot of cutscenes.

by what i have seen, he sees a girl in the road, and runs into town to find her, then he sees a house on fire, saves alessa and collapses. this game does have characters from the original, like kauffman and lisa garland. he goes to the hospital to check on the burnt alessa, passes out after a boss, meets lisa, goes to the sanitarium, passes out, goes to the movies (i think), passes out, and goes to the motel.

These cutscenes are slightly different in the final version of the game (which I just beat today). The music is different in this one, and the dialog is slightly different in cutscene 19.

Well, to be fair, this version of Alessa looks significantly younger than the fourteen-year-old we see in SH1.

Although I'm going to have to agree with you on the eye-color. Seriously, they put such an emphasis on her having brown eyes that I can't see how anyone could NOT miss that detail.

Other than that, I rather like the way "0rigins" is turning out.
