  • Your hair looks really Beautiful! I was sceptical of the product, but my mom, who loves buying products, gifted it to me. I tried it the other day after washing and deep conditioning. I twisted my hair in medium large sections with a generous amount of Shea butter and the Quidad gel. Best my hair has looked and Felt, (super Moisturized Hold) I just used the leave-in to remoisturize and it feels good. I Would Not use the "botatnical" refresher spray though, (Sodium Hydroxide) is an Ingredient.

  • now she has frizz control shampoo and conditioner.

  • for $22 per 8oz, your hair should not have swelled at all if that is what the prodct claims to prevent. It didn't look bad, but it did look like it had swelled and I think that is what you were aiming to prevent.

  • How long does this take?

  • Great definition! But I don't think it help up against the humidity... esp at the fireworks..

  • I can't believe u twisted ur whole head at 12am lol.

  • I just love your videos, and you know how to rock your hair all the time

  • You have mad video making/ editing skills!!! And of course, gorgeous hair ;)

  • How do you pronounce the name of the product maker - "Ouidad?"

  • @estisvideos 6:18 "Wee-dad"

  • sweet I've been wanting to get this product because Florida humidity is no JOKE but I am happy you did this product review because it was pretty darn AWESOME!

  • i like it...it looks like 2nd or 3rd day hair as far as fullness and that 'lift', but with that new look in a way.

  • What is the name of your other channel?

  • @MsJayJam07 CharyJay

  • I have this gel too and it can get hard sometimes ( but I kind of like it that way lol). If you decide to use it again you should try applying it in bigger sections while your hair is wet. Then just add water when you retwist it instead of more gel. That usually keeps the crunchies at bay for me and creates softer looking curls :)

  • @RellaBella92 Thanks for the suggestion!!!!

  • It seemed as though your hair did draw up a little bit by 12am, but i still thought it looked nice and had a defined pattern. I just recently subbed your channel, and from what i can tell, you didn't immediately chop your hair, have you uploaded any vids from you transitional stage that gave some ideas for styles? I'm in transition and I am getting frustrated! -be blessed :)

  • what product do you reccomend for braidouts/twistiouts that make the hair feel soft & bouncy in my local drugstores/beauty stores?

  • @MsJanny12 Check out my staples video #2

  • Were can you buy these products in Detroit? I would like to try them?

  • @Theagelessbeauty I have no idea. You might want to check Sephora, but you won't find that in Detroit. They have one in JC Penny on Gratiot a little past 13 mile.

  • It was all over your face that you were not pleased; I think it did not do what it said it would. You could see the change in your hair as the night went on. :-) Thanks so much for the review! ;-)

  • are those prices listed correct....holding my heart like Fred Sanford over here...lol

  • @dkblck1958 LOL! Yes, they're correct.

  • @dkblck1958 LOL..I just bought an 11 pc Ouidad kit from HSN online for $29.99... u get the full size gel, full size shampoo, full size conditioner and full size refresher spray plus some other stuff like clips and a comb. I think its a great deal. I love the gel so I can't wait to try the rest of the line.

  • the definition looks great nice twistout but i like my hair soft to. looks like you had great seats for the fireworks havent been down there in years .thanks for sharing would you consider doing a video on just protective styles im looking for new style ideas thanks

  • ah ahn girl i aint know u had a bf..go giiirl

  • Thanks for sharing your honest opinion,....#naturalhair

  • wow, you retwist your hair every night? mine goes a few days and by the end of the week it looks like the vid when you got home.

  • your hair is so gorgeous! the definition was on point...but it is so pricey. it did hold up well against the heat though.

  • Your hair looks good regardless. I mean its natural. But I believe the product was suppose to keep the humidity from shrinking the length of your hair and puffing the width. If thats correct it did not do that as far as i can see. But your hair looks good anyway

  • yeah i saw them cones next door to each other like twins...it held up pretty good though. and gerrrllll you was down the skreet lol. but nawl hey girl hey! you was like 10 mins away! :)

  • I thought I was the only natural girl in detroit.

  • perhaps instead of applying the product the second time just like that you could have perhaps misted the hair with some water and just twisted...the gel made your hair look grey and dry....and your twistouts are always fab!

  • How long did it take you to twist your hair?

  • I think the product does work and your hair did look nice but I'm not willing to spend that kind of money on gel. Thanks for the review.

  • Hey! i remember you doing a curly afro thing that took almost 5hrs or so with the a gel from the curls product line do you still use curls products at all??

  • yaayyyyy i thought i was like the only natural in the whole detroit area lol

  • your hair looked dried and puffy when you got home from the firework show... but i guess the humidity plays a big role. the hair looked great in the beginning when you first untwisted. After a few hours, it looked worn out and dry. Overall, I say no to the product only by the looks of your hair in the outdoors. Your hair always look hydrated and wonderful but this product did the opposite. I never tried the product but i like soft touchable hair too.

  • The product looked like it worked.

  • It looks great!!!! Even after a few days, but if your hair felt hard I can understand you didn't like that. I don't like that either.

  • it turned out beautifully! But I agree with you when you said you prefer "touchable" hair. I use Ouidad products in with my regiment and didn't like the climate control either it didn't work for me at all but it's good to see that it works for someone if not perfectly.

  • *long

  • hey chary how ling have u been post relaxer now ?

  • @crazydivaliciouschic 2 years next month.

  • wow thanks i will definately use it on the humid days. what do you normally twist your hair with your twist are always nice chunky & defined ?

  • Your twist outs are always THE BUSINESS, but I agree, normally your twist outs are on a mission; springy and ready for action… These ones looked really pretty, but were kind of like… ‘err we’re just gonna sit here and chill for a bit’… LOL if that makes any sense? Your twists are normally full of life! ...Lol. Okay, I’m going into ‘infomercial’ mode. That means I need to get back to sleep… Great review :).

  • Great Review CharyJay;-) Ya hair held up love! Beautiful;-) Thanx for sharing!

  • Awww your boyfriend is cute :)

  • love your honesty

  • Thanx for the good & honest review! I'm sorta new to your vids but I've watched quite a few. I noticed that the Ouidad gel really didn't seal your ends like I'm used to seeing them in your vids.. Nevertheless you're still BEAUTIFUL! BTw.. I just came upon the Shea Moisture products in my local Walgreens and almost had a total FIT! because I thought that I could only buy them online.. Imagine my surprise!!! Thanx for all your info and & insight to help my tWa! Next on my list... the evco!

  • Your hair always looks so soft and moisturized. very well taken care of. Oh and what kind of brush is that you're using to detangle with?

  • @purpleeye92 I think it's just you. But besides, this IS MY channel and MY hair. So if that was true, then would it really matter? A lot of people don't even show you what the product looks like going on their hair, or day 1, 2, 3 results, etc. so if you don't like what styles I do then that's totally fine, but this is what you get on my channel.

  • great stuff...but the price is a bit much

  • yeah i don't like the smell of moxie products either..yuck

  • Great Review :)

  • Are you from Detroit?

  • You twist out looks great!

  • it looks good, nice definition, but I'm used to your hair being more bouncy

  • @Chantellejeane Yes! You are so right. Not much bounce with a gel. Me no likey that either, but it did what it said it was going to do.

  • Thanks for the review chary!! Always amazing. And i love watching the LC on your other channel!! *Keep the cute parts!! lol.

  • @vangrl15 LOL!!!!!! Derek and I was just talking about that the other night. Thanks! Lol!!!

  • I think it only did partially good b/c you didn't separate your hair oce you took out the twist.

  • @ashleynmoore12 Yes I did! Look at 2:40-2:50. I separated the twists each time I took them out. That's why it always looks fuller.

  • @160Days2Lose2 You did, still not feeling this product.

  • lol i would totally do that do my sister (not edit it out haha lol) (im playing.. guess it depends on what my mood is! lol)

  • I told her I was going to leave it in there! LOL! TRUTH!

  • @160Days2Lose2 lol my sister has done it to me so I take back the just playing part Lmbo!

  • love the results!!

  • well hotdog it did what it said it would do love the twist out so defined i just bc'd a couple of days ago(1yr post relaxer) and at first i was like what did i do but as the days passed i was like yea honey lol i used to watch vids and say that product is too much but now i love my hair so much i feel my hair is worth it so i will be giving this product a go and let you know how it does for me

  • Your hair looked great! ...idk if I would spend $22 on that though O_o

  • your hair always look great so i can't tell. i'm still confused about what the product is supposed to do. i still have 2 mins left in the video so maybe i just haven't gotten there yet.

  • love your vids!!! BTW I watched your vid on you trimming your own ends. How often do you usually trim your ends? Do you ever do the search and destroy method? or do you only trim on your set schedule...??

  • @TheNaturalSTLgal Thanks!!! I was told by a stylist you should trim every 3 months, but I'll trim once I see the need for it.

  • i love it as always!
