Street course look back to the Roger Penske days in the number 9 and 10 grand sports, The Purple People Eater for you hard core Chevy fans, and Dale Earnhardt Sr, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmy Johnson Chevorlet for life guys. The ZR1 for 09 is the best bang for the buck as far as American sports cars that perform quite well with the big dogs

The Viper is way to heavy and the 2009 ZR1 has already gone up agaisn't the Vipers. Now a Hennesified ZR1 vs A Hennesified Viper well then you have a contest. Again the Supersnake is nice and all, but it cam't truly hold up the Chevorlets life long Bullet Proof reputation in Automibile racing.

Before you get mad, I am an absolute GM guy, I think the LS series of motors is the best performance platform money can buy, the sky is the limit with those cars, and the power potential enormous, it puts all those silly honda VTEC punks in their place and it sounds amazing. HOWEVER, the LS9 is insanely over priced. It's simply an LS3 block with different parts. And in terms of hp/dollar its the most expensive GM offers. Cheaper to build up an LS2 and get more power.

As a crate engine, yeah its got a healthy profit margin, but it comes with the low production number's too i would guess.

@AnimepimpYT Oh no, for 100,000 its spot on in terms of performance per dollar, especially when compared to cars like the Ferrari 599 GTB and GTO, or the Lamborghini LP640, its great. The ZR-1 and the Viper are the two best bang for your buck supercars on the planet. Both have 600+ hp, turn and stop with the best of them, and both won't break the bank if you are semi-well off. However, one has to wonder if you put all that technology on the base model Vette and supercharged it yourself...

@AnimepimpYT how much the cost difference would be? The supercharger is a magnuson unit, and maggie tvs 2300 kits can be had in the 7k range I believe. In terms of HP numbers, it would be cheaper to go with the LS3 vette and your own blower, however, with all the ESC and the magnetic suspension, etc, on the ZR-1, I have no Idea what that costs to put on your own car. If was going to put down 100k on a car, I would pick the Viper ACR over the ZR-1. Faster around at rack, and its a drivers car :)

You also got to factor in that any car maker will "embellish" their numbers to an ideal situation, not by much, but still there usually is a higher number given from the maker, then what comes up on a dyno preformed by a separate Corp.
