not really.. well yes exlcuding that you don't put in at a really high resolution.. i hav a 2nd pc with a core i7 965 oc'ed at 4.7ghz, three 4890 gpus, 12gb of ddr3 ram, windows xp and vista, 1000w psu and it runs at 30 to 50FPS on highest setting at 1920x1200 I was expecting hiher resuts. while my other system with an 8400gs, 1gb of ram, and athlon x2 3800+ 2ghz processor pc runs the game at 1024x768 all high (except textures at medium) and runs at 15-40FPS why games optimized for low end pcs

its because GTA IV does not suport more than 1 graphics card. It's performance will be even decreased by sli... So, try turn off the sli, it might work better :)

Pc graphics are way better then xbox 360, and ps3 has more detail in graphics because of blu ray. Think of xbox's using onboard graphics while ps3 using a nvidia video card.

whats funny is that of those cards, the 9800gt and 8800gt are identical (aside from NM) and the 9600gt is like 3 fps different from those cards in gpu demanding games. Of those i would recommend a 9800gt, they overclock like beasts, stay cool, and run great at stock, too.

you dont need 4 core, i ran it on max settings with a Pentium dual core2ghz and 2gig ram with an xfx nvidia geforce 9500gt gddr3, 600/1200mhz.. the game developers always exaggerate saying what you need. ive noticed this alot. i had a constant fps of around 20 to 28. no less. it was perfect.

on vista x64 and i run it in 1280x1024. i can put rendering cuality to high, but texture quality only to medium, and reaaally low on the other settings in the game, and it vill still lag some at times when more things are on the screen. it feels like i would be able to run it better.
