Now i look like a balloon face..everytime i try to decrease the amount of prednisone im on, my body gets a flare up and we have to increase the prednisone Once Again ...

i have had arthritis even since i was 3.. but lupus came along just a year ago and it finally hit me hard.. i went to the ER room cause my lungs got imflammed and i got a lupus rash... being 13 it really sucks.. and predisone took away my rash but yes weight gane... and i can see it in my face changes alot. ug it sucks

Thank you so much for captioning your videos! I have SLE and I am deaf, and I have been on prednisone for 8 years, can't seem to get lower than 15mg a day without feeling awful and gaining weight from water retention. But I hope one day to get off of it. High Blood pressure is an issue.

Im only on it for a month for a rash. It actually supreses my appetite but leaves me dehydrated no matter how much I drink. I know the weight gain us because of water retention.

i'm on 80mg a day. my face is all bloated and such. gotta keep busy and exercising!

i was on 30mg to 60mg of prednisone when i was diagnosed of having aplastic anemia last october 2009. in 2 to 3 months, from 110lbs, i gained 50lbs which is now a total of 160lbs. I had to buy new clothes that can fit my new body. thankfully now, i'm taking it 40mg every other day. I guess i have to start my exercise?

i am now going back up on steroids to 30 mg..i have been on 10 for so long i lost all my weight again and now yuck im upping it again to help get rid of lung issues im having..about to start cellcept and i lost 60 pounds from going down on steroids..im not looking forward to moon face again... yyyyuck

well i have fast metabolism and it will be a long while for me to get to my ideal weight so heh i'm good for the eating. in fact i think i'll go eat right now lol yum yum yum lol

im on 40mg too.within 8 days i already gain 5kgs.its like omg!im having moon face now.

I started 120 mgs of prednisone just figure out how much weght i gaing like 60 pounds in 3 mos. this lupus sucks been a year with the diagnose and have 80 pounds more

Exercising my ass..The only thing your exercising is your lips when you eat that food from the fridge-

dont drink water because ur body wil retain it and because of that ull gai weight and want more!!!!believe me i was 120 then boom less then 3 mnts i was 170 -50 lbs gained quick:(

god bless you! i was on 60 for 3 months! i was like balloon i hated the way i looked and i thought i would stay like this forever! i never thought i would go bk to my old self. But now i look so much better because i have gained a little weight round the face harldly anything tho but i look so much healtier

I was on 60 mgs and for someone who was 43 kg before I was diagnosed, I felt 60kg was way too heavy. I tried to go on diet. It's easier to go on diet right now because i'm down to 2.5 mg/day.Prednisone makes people eat more, so that's making it worse.

I was on 40mg prednisone and it felt like there were bees buzzing in my head. Nasty stuff.
