hey if i dont have enough power supplie, can it happen that the graphic card cannot give signal to the monitor, coz i think i have to buy a new powersupple my graphic card needs 450 wats, i have 300, and its 6 to 4 pin. My screen goes black with the note no video output? damn. graphic card is xfx radeon HD5770 help?
You should call a proffessional for that, but yea, if you have 300 and it needs 450 is pretty obvious you need a new powersupply. I have 650W and it works perfectly.
Well, it just doesn't work well. Crysis (according to research, and not hearsay, google it :3) was optimized specifically for NVIDIA cards. I'm not sure if this is true, but my system (AMD Phenom @ 2.7ghz, 4GB DDR2, Windows 7 Pro x64, ATI Radeon 4870 HD) can not play Crysis very smoothly above 'Medium' to 'High' level detail, and that's without anti-aliasing.
This card works great in crysis in Max settings, I have windows 7, Intel core 2 quad processor 2.66ghz, 4gb ram, XFX HD 4870 card and it works GREAT no lags and etc. I don't know if your processor is slow but try to upgrade to intel and use this card and it will work just fine as Nvidia cards.
I gave you my specs, lol. My processor is faster, I have the same OS, same amount of RAM, same card, and I can't run Crysis very well. Lol.
It depends on the resolution you play at to a great extent. At 1024x768, I can run very high. At 1440x900, I can run only medium to high, depending on the area.
It's not your monitor size that matters. It's your resolution. 1440 x 900 = "N" number of pixels. 1028 x 768 = "N" number of pixels (less). Lower resolutions = higher performance.
I know. But, I was a little uh... excited. I grounded myself when I installed it, of course. I learned that my computer case is complete shit and I had to keep the fan outside of the case. It's a real pain, but, it works.
yay go play WoW!
