  • .......... what sweep patterns are you using??? Does anyone know?

  • Wow...he's playing so fast I can barely tell he's moving at all.

  • Very nice, sound like Dream Theater.

  • Halford

  • Halford

  • indeed yeees tom hess...

  • LOL VID ONLY WORKS IN 240p

  • It really does work in 240p

  • I hate how sweep picking is ny favorite technique but im not even good at it

  • yeah ..it IS a really beautiful guitar ..its just too damn bad that we have to watch it in 8 bit video settings

  • 240p we meet again....

  • O_o

    wtf

  • that tempo change was great

  • I was In the Tom Hess MCMP

  • This video is not working for me? lol And what is 240p?

  • Actually ... the hardest thing is to make them all together in song, live this one !

  • that is such a beautiful guitar

  • ?????

  • Yeah vid only works in 240p

  • @bedofrazorsqwerty Thank you good sir.

  • Didnt even know you could change to 240p lol

  • Sweeps are hard yeah but it doesn't take years of 2 hour a day sessions to learn them :p lol I got 5,6,7 strings down in less than two weeks or so. Three strings are the damn hard ones.

  • @Krickit101 how are 3 strings sweeps the hard ones?! I got those in minutes... those are the 1st ones i got xD

  • @Krickit101 no, you just think you have them down, I bet they sound like horse shit when you play em >:)

  • @Krickit101 haha, no idea how to do the 5 6 and 7 string sweeps, i can only do 3 string sweeps :P as far as im concerned, 5 6 and 7 string sweeps are ridiculous :P

  • @Krickit101 doing the individual shapes of any sweep is the easy part, it's linking them together musically that takes the most time.

  • @Krickit101

Never tried seven, but 3's, 5's, and 6's are easiest to me, in that order, then 4's. I learned how to sweep about that quick too.

  • awesome!

  • nice

  • Tabs???

  • Go randall, fuck marshall, and this guy is awesome!

  • @jesusvalles54 Easy there fanboy... everybody has there own taste in sound...

  • sweepings kinda easy

  • @Shreddur666

Anyone can 'sweep', but sweeping properly isn't easy.

  • What the heck!

  • Sweep is f***in' tough - I'm trying and trying but can't even do simple stuff. If once it starts to work, next time I hold guitar and/or pickup differently or what, dunno, but next time I can't do it at all again.

  • @ArchSaur it's really hard...took me about a year or more since i first started practicing 3 string sweeps but now i can do a variety of 5 string sweeps and even some 6 string

  • @ArchSaur You won't be able to for a very long time. It's A LOT of practice.... Like two hours of just sweeping a day....

  • @Anarchyffan cause everyone has the same learning ability right

  • this video never works on my computer ):

  • @webrokeyourbed god damn, on mine too, looks like i'm not alone^^

  • @webrokeyourbed Nor does it work on mine :/

  • @joey20112 same

  • @webrokeyourbed neither on mine...

  • @FightingFinke and neither on mine.. but i solved it.. go on 240p !

    This guy pwns ass !

  • @webrokeyourbed me too. X (

  • wtf

  • Dave who? Chris who? Kirk who? Kerry who? Yngwie who? Eddie Van who? Alexi who?

  • @Charbok12 the who, the guess who

  • @Charbok12 Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammett, Kerry King, Yngwie malmsteenn

, Eddie Van Halen, Alexi Laiho

  • @johnnywalkerhammet hammet and king don't belong in the same scentance as malmsteen

  • @Charbok12 Charbok who? No one knows you- smart ass

  • i dont know what to say :-o lol it was that good!!

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • FUUUUCK! Just awesome.

  • cool

  • This is me very soon xD

  • Tom Hess is awesome, but, Luca Turilli... is the master in the neoclassical style.

  • @deadfall000

    Yngwie fuckin MALMSTEEN!

  • This guys awesome, but nobody can beat Luca Turilli at neoclassical guitar

  • @lucridis except yngwie malmsteen.

  • @lucridis jeff lomis can

  • im pissed that it ended

  • >_> wtf man, so perfect

  • Godlike

  • beautiful

  • very clean

  • Badass!!

  • Beautifull*_*

  • that was fucking beautiful...

  • awesome talent

  • Hess rocks out!..ala Bellas Ziras Loomis and Batio..keeps classical shred alive

  • What arpeggios should I use in neoclassical shred metal? Are there any specific ones?

  • Harmonic Minor and Melodic Minor.

  • Diminished is used a lot, other than that, just learn the basic major and minor chord shaped arpeggios, and try to link them together, for instance an E shape to a C shape to an A shape, all with the same root, A for instance. then just built up from stuff like that.

  • minor 13th

  • you can use you know melodic minor scales, harmonics minors and chromatics scales...I don't know I maybe wrong but mostly combine most Melodic Minor scales with the standard Minor Scales...if you want try looking to some neo-classical guitarist like Yngwie Malmasteen (sorry if my spelling is incorrect his last name is hard to spell) for example or check out Micheal Angelo Batio's the Finish Line

  • Am scale is big one, learning the arpeggios of that scale is a good start.

  • 7 Dim. Arpegio

  • Definitely some Yngwie licks in there, but I like his melodies way more! Really nice.

  • rob halford? hahh badasss!

  • I really like his playing!! he's a master

  • good!!

  • this guy is pretty damn awsome

  • wow... i did not think he would be this good.... my jaw is on the floor right now

  • i honestly thought the title was exaggerated...

    Damn, how wrong i was!!

  • Thats because so many guitarists DO exaggerate their titles, but as you said This is about as far away from an exaggerated as you can get...Tom is surblime!

  • ... Wow.

  • this is what i call skill

  • ownz

  • He's the second best guitarist i've seen... Joe Satriani is first. I don't Know whare I'm gonna put Kerry King...

  • I jizzed in my pants to this

    wish i was this awesome

  • 0:03- 0:10 dude that's sooooooooooooooooo sick

  • ALL BOW TO THE MASTER

  • I hope to be this good someday

  • very good

  • ALL bow before the MASTER

  • ahhhh fantastic

  • Tom Hess is amazing!! haha and bald. but thats probably why hes so good, theres no hair to get in his face while hes shredding

  • oh my gosh. this is beautiful

  • heh sort of reminds me of Randy Rhoads

  • The Title Of This Video Doesn't Lie...

  • lol tru that

when i first saw him is was like...."looks like a regular guy trying to play guitar"

    he's infact really good =]

  • o.ô

    I'm lovning it <3

  • crap thats crazy

  • Damn he's sick.

  • I came several times.
