i'm just curious because if male doesn't get away as soon as possible, oftentimes female eats the counterpart.

@Woogla it just stopped producing the egg sack... it was like expanding foam u would use to fill gaps in the side of window frames... ended up around 1 inch long x 1 inch wide... no nymphs hatched

I caught a female three days ago on my screen door out here in the Bay area ca. She just laid her eggs last night. The temp is very cold out here now. Should I take the female out and put a heating pad under the kritter cage?

they will hatch, they sometimes take months. Thats what mine did. They generally hatch when the weather is warm

I just caught my praying mantis doing this today ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!! I was told it was a male but after I saw it doing building of what it looks like a cacoon I found out it was an eggsac but its unfertalized so its not going to hatch.
