  • bravo mi piache molto.

    gracie

    steph

  • Hello, i do play clarinette, I would like to play that song, do you know its name or do you have the score for clarinette ?

    regards

  • aww no pitch bends?

o well, that did sound quite klezmer style without the pitch bends anyway :D

  • Hi, This is Lovely Playing, Also Watch Ustad Abdul salam Naushad, he is an Indian Classical Clarinet Player. He is Amazing too.

  • good!!!!

  • Tha major error that people makes when talks about Klezmer music it's to says that Gipsy music is klezmer music... Many people make that mistake. So yidish and klezmer are all conected, but are very diferent from gipsy music.

Klezmer it's all jewish music that it's original from the tradicional songs that are singed and played in wedding and other celebrations for example.

Sorry about my English but it's a litlle rusty. :)

  • in klezmer we bend sound and it takes much practice to sound authentic. On the other hand you do play well! Mazel Tov!

  • Yes he plays well, it sounds to acasemic....something is missing...it's sounds "dry"

But let's wish him the very best :)

  • I agree

    it is missing the "life"

the techniques like tremolo, vibrato and glissando...

  • beautifull melody!!! one other one other!!

  • you posted this on my birthday lol

  • i like it

  • ose shalom

  • When you repeat the theme at the end of the video, I think it can be better to play one octave up.

  • in 10 years, with a lot of practies then we will see...

  • Nice music.

The clarinet is really defined by Eastern European, Middle Eastern, and Jazz compositions. Great instrument.

  • Really nice. As others have said, not really klezmer, but definitely Jewish.

  • that was kizool

  • Not all Jewish music is 'klezmer.'

The Ashkenazi tune to Oseh Shalom is really famous and you have a great rendition of it-- but I wouldn't call it 'klezmer.'

  • I didn't know that.

Can you explain to me what's the difference exactly?

  • Klezmer is Eastern European Jewish Instrumental music, usually played at weddings. The Oseh Shalom is from the Jewish liturgy. A pretty song, but not Klezmer

  • I'm not an expert but just notice that ose shalom is a chassidic melody, strongly related to religious music and often sung by choirs. Klezmer is normally instrumental and secular. Both styles were born in Eastern Europe but have a high reminisence of Arabic music (specially klezmer) than yiddish folksongs, really Russian sounding

  • There's just no information anywhere on the internet about this -certainly not in English. thanks for the information.

  • wow nice jewish song !!!!!you got me singing it now

  • Very nice :D

  • how long have you been playing???

  • This song is named "Oseh Shalom" ("He Who Brings Peace"). It's a part of the jewish prayer.

  • Thank you! I'm pleased to know.

  • You have someing good there.

  • Buffet make the best clarinets in the world..easy by far for tone...the R13 is the best.

  • Nice one man, where do u get your sheet music form...i play jazz on a R13, but i like this music too.

  • I'm just learning to play clarinet. This is a traditional klezmer song, I haven't the sheet: I just took it from a recording, but I don't know the name of the song.

  • Ok, nice tone, has i say i have a new R13, but i think you have to wait for years for the best tone to come form it..like wine it get's better with age.

  • What reed do u use 1.5 or a 2??

  • I use 2,5 or 3 by Vandoren, with a Vandoren b45 mouthpiece. But the clarinet is a very cheap one...

  • @italianalien where can you buy the klezmer clarinet and how much are they?
