  • This song is sung better by Drake Bell

  • @giordano324 yes it is

  • Yeah, Setzer-pretty young and singin' and playing those licks...yeah I agree, it's a song that doesn't get much attention.

  • this song is so under rated. The guitar picking is so good...and Brian Setzer is bouncing all around the stage doing it too.

  • ok sorry

Stray cats is better than drake bell

  • I was 10 when this was recorded. When I watch it...I still feel like a giggly, swooning 10 year old girl. He's the king of the cats! Please check out this song I wrote as a tribute to Setzer and the Cats. I reference 15 Setzer/Cats songs. youtube.com/watch?v=XwZrO2zmRwM

  • @gldeluca I was born in 83 and he is my favorite guitar player...they are one of my favorite bands...it's amazing how timeless he is/they are, and how vapid and contrived a lot of popular music today is. Rockabilly in the 50's and in the 80's was popular AND good...not just good. It's disappointing, today's young guitarists don't have a Setzer, a Satriani, a Hendrix, a Slash, etc. They all go back to good ol' rock and roll.

  • omg thanks for Utube ...many cool vids of the Stray Cats...

  • one word, love

  • the song is better with drake bell

  • @mensamin

omfg this isnt even a compare setzer is the king of rockabilly and drake bell some little disney shitface like miley cyrus or justin bieber

  • @mensamin are you fucking retarded?

  • @mensamin fuck you

  • the is better with drake bell

  • what fender amp is Brian Using? would like to know

  • @batmobile1989 I believe a 63 Fender Bassman

  • I agree this is the best rockabilly band. This is one of my favorite stray cats songs.

  • I have read the coments and I can see why you call your self dickward. Somthing wrong with my radio!

  • Brian 4ever!!!100*

  • can we just leave drake out of this thread? his rendition is a total FAIL and he's soooo gay.

  • no offence to anyone who loves drake bell, but how on this earth can u compare him to setzer... Setzer who, along with Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom brought rockabilly to the masses in the 80's.. sorry no comparison...

  • this guy is wac he aint better then drake bell

  • @double13509 LMAO man that's hilarious keep it up

  • youth looks great on everyone. Stray Cats..in their prime, kickin' ass and takin names...love it.

  • lol @ the stupid teenie kids. stray cats rule!

  • Honestly, I gave Drake Bell a chance (only because I couldn't believe he had the audacity and nerve to cover this song) and he did an absolute AWFUL job.

Drake and his "band" tried to do the Stray Cats justice. They failed. All the teeny boppers who witnessed his "concert" probably don't even know the roots of this song.

He couldn't even play Brian's lead by himself. Drake Bell doesn't have enough talent.

Brian Setzer has skill. Just him, Jim and Lee. No second guitarist in the Stray Cats.

  • Drake Bell? He ruined the song.

  • @AysocaLynn

You must be kidding??? How do compare Drake Bell with Brian Setzer??

I am sad for you younger kids who think Miley Cyrus and the Cheetah Girls are real music.

  • Well, for your information I don't like jonas brothers or miley cyrus, and cheetah girls, are you kidding?!! i just like the beatles, hawk nelson, drake bell, wolff brothers and green day!! ¬¬

  • @ONENIGGER2ANOTHER Drake who? Jeez....How do they compare Drake Bell with Brian Setzer?

By having zero musical acumen, that's how. :D

  • @trailrunner78

Just wondering how ignorant you really were...thanks for settling my mind on that question. Dickwad

  • @ONENIGGER2ANOTHER Drake Bell is a very good musician. Not like Miley Cyrus and all that stuff.

Obviusly, not as Stray Cats, but he made a good cover anyway. He is a good rocker.

  • great musicians.hendrix ,gallagher ,SRV, Setzer and gibbons are my favourites

  • Setzer is really just playing a twelve bar blues in G, which means that The main chords are G C and D

but he's using a cool bunch of Jazz chord substitution chords..

    So here, a normal G can be turned into a G13 :D

    None The less he's amazing!!!

    Great vid! :)

  • I don't wish to appear pedantic, but this isn't a twelve bar blues , it's a sixteen bar "blues" ( if you want to call it a blues, but the chord sequence isn't really a typical blues sequence ).

it isn't even a blues as such

  • no, you're actually right man...

He does use the same sort of sixteen bar blues chord pattern in 'Rock This Town'

not calling blues is your own thing man.

  • I agree it does have that blues feel, but you will notice that the chord sequence goes from 2 bars of the I chord straight to the V chord. There are loads of rockabilly songs that do this, but imo blues songs ALWAYS go to the IV chord after the I chord, never to the V chord.

whatever, it's a great performance by a great artist.

  • I Love This Band And This Song Woohoo Rock On 4 Life

  • best band ever

  • very very very very good !!!!!!

  • the best rockabilly band

  • @greaser1993 totally agree

  • no such thing

  • i think he was being sarcastic in the fact that Mr. Setzer uses crazy chords and stuff.

the Stray cats are amazing =]

  • H and Q ? I thouhgt it stopped at G

  • They really know how to perform songs live!!!

  • Chords?

  • G,C,D the intro is G6.

  • this is soooo great!!! god bless the STRAY CATS!!!!

  • Surely, it doesn't get any better than this. I am SOOOO glad my life on this earth coincided with that guy from '59. Mikey xx

  • My fav Stray Cats song of all time! YEEAH!
