i have the s12's right now, im looking for another skate thats comparable. although i want to switch over to bauer as im finding i like their products a lot more. size 9.5
The S-12 s are the best and most comfortable skates I have owned. The only issues I had with mine were the arches made me feel too far forward so I removed them and my blades were a bit loose so I tightened them up. Long story short these were easy fixes and wasn't rocket science to fix and as a result I'm getting the best performance out of them cuz of it. Hope this helps anyone considering them?
Hey these skates are really cool! but your site is out of 7.5 D skate. I want to get them in a few weeks but they are out of stock everywhere and was wondering if you were planning on re stocking them any time soon.
heyyy i got a lil question here as u know i bwt to get reebok 6K and then i saw the s12. i had a S1 skate and the holder is breaking bt then the reebok 5K holder look durable and dnt seem to breaking easily so i wondering 6K holder or s12 holder is better and not easy to break???
@asianbadboys I haven't really heard of an issue with either of the holders breaking. I would just go with the skate that is going to fit you the best.
Couple questions: I've seen eastons in the past fall apart within maybe a month (s17's) What would the durability be like on these compared to my vapor xv's? And also, what would the boot be like compared to the vapor line because I know vapors have the stiff boot
durability wise, would the s12 generally last longer than the old s15's? and is the performance much different between the two skates? thanks a lot guys.
I have these in a 9.0R They fit and feel great but for some reason my left foot keeps going numb. My right foot is fine when I got them I had them molded but I can't figure out why my left foot keeps going numb what could be causing this? It only happens when I go slow after skating hard could it be the arch causing me to be a bit too far forward? Also if I remove it will it affect my ankle position since I had them molded? Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi guys, thx for the great review. In the video you point out the good foot protection of the skate. Which other models do offer this kind of protection as well? (how about the S9 or S7, which models from Bauer,CCM,RBK)?
are the reports of the leather exterior becoming detached from the skate true? im choosing between the s12 and s9 and my choice will be based on which is more durable. Thanks a lot.
Hi guys, big thx for the great review. In the video you point out the good foot protection of the skate. Which other models do offer this kind of protection as well? (how about the S9 or S7, which models from Bauer,CCM,RBK)?
I got them in today. And there the perfect size. They were a size and a half down. Not just a half a size :) thanks guys love them. And fast shipping :)
I just orded the black s12's and i hear everyone saying that its only a half size down from the actually shoe size. . But on your website it says its a size and a half down? I wear a 11.5 shoe so i ordered a 10 skate?
@sparkysnw Sorry for the confusion, but Easton skate sizing varies between their lines. The Stealth series run a half size down. Luckily we have free return shipping on skates, so when you get them you can just send them back for the proper size.
@TheAznpersuasion91 Easton is currently does not have inventory but they should have some available soon. Our site is in real time and will show when they are available.
Hey I was planning to upgrade to these from my Se10s. Now, you said the material is different than the s17 skates, I was wondering does it still offer the same amount of protection and durability as the s17? Thanks
@Hockeydude1215 It is a slightly different kind of material but it looks, feels, and functions like the S17. It will offer the same protection and durability. The material on the S17 is lighter and uses more composite material.
I just wanted to say thanks for upping all these product review vids. Without the help of videos like yours picking out the "perfect" pair of new skates for myself would have been a nightmare. I'm glad there's a resource like this and while I'm sure it takes a lot of time to put these together I thought I'd say I really appreciate the effort.
Hi tyson my names dylan i play for Romford hornets u16s which is in england i train 3 days a week and when theres a game that makes it 4 times a week. i have been playing for almost 2 years and have bauer x30 but am looking to get some new ones i really like bauer but think eastons look and sound good too. DOnt like reebok ccm or graph any idea on what would be a good skate thanks
@nhlAOvechkin08 Going to the S12's would be a nice upgrade. I would caution you on switching to another brand though. Bauer and Easton skates fit differently and if the Bauer's fit you well than the Easton's may not fit right.
@nhlAOvechkin08 I agree with Erik on this one I started out with Bauer's when I was a kid then switched to Reeboks. As good as those brands were I never felt comfortable in them until I tried out the Eastons. Now mind you my Eastons are just the cheap C2's and I'd like to upgrade to the S-12's at a later date. But anyway the point is they heated them to form my feet and they fit my foot like a glove and are the most comfortable skates I've worn to date. My next pair will definately be Easton's
I ended up ordering the size 8.5 skate. PERFECT FIT!!! My big toe touches the toe cap, and then feathers it when I lean forward. Skate came with ELITE steel!! Very much lean forward stance. Reminds me of Graf, but not as stiff ; )
My left foot is 26.7 cm and my right foot is 27.2. I wear a size 10 dress shoe/10.5 Running shoe(comfort) . In Bauer Supreme One 70, I wear size 8 with a hockey sock with no heel lift in either skate. So I am thinking a size 8.5 for the s12?
@pkhockeydad I would probably suggest a 9 possibly even the 9.5 in the stealth line. We offer free return shipping on skates so you might want to pick up both and see what works best, and return the other.
@icehockeywarehouse Since I emailed you, I went to LHS and tried the size 9 easton 12 skate. Seemed to have a little heel lift in the right foot. This was with shockdoctor socks on. Unfortunatley, the did not have size 8.5 in stock. So, I may be calling you tonight to order. Also, I noticed that the blade has the elite steel on it. Perhaps a goof up?
I did not know that Easton now runs a half a size down. I have these skates and I always wondered why I needed such a big size. I wear a size 9 shoe and wear a size 8.5 in this skates.
I've been using these skates for the past 5 months and I must say, definitly the best pair of skates I've owned. The break-in period was only a few days, and after baking the skate they feel great. I've taken many shots to the foot and felt almost nothing. Very durable and light. Excellant investment.
I have the se16 whites! :D the removable piece on the insole is also on the se16 skate, when i decided to take the piece off, i got massive blisters on my arches my foot...i put it back in and it was AWESOME! it also supports good energy return on the skate
@KulerNaTube For most people Easton runs a half size down from your shoe size. For example, if you are a size 8 shoe, you would want to go with a size 7.5.
Tyson do you mean that the skate boot is tighter and smaller than regular skates? I have the S15s and those fit amazing and huge wider than normal skates, or do you mean something else?
I have found sizing is a little smaller than some other manufacturers. I would not say it is 1 1/2 sizes below regular shoe size like most skate brands. The fit definitely wide in the forefoot, but I thought the heel pocket was a little tighter than some other skates on the market.
good skate, but I have had a problem with the rivets in the toe coming out. overall I do like the skate but they could have done more work with increasing the durability of the boot, so for those of us who are on the ice every day it will last longer
should i get these skates or the white 7k skates

@dumbkkid Not really going to much of a difference, if anything the S5 would be more comfortable because of the softer boot design.

@dumbkkid It would, but mostly things that would affect hockey play, like a stiffer more protective boot.

One question. im coming from a bauer x15, but cant resist how it feels.
Would it be worth buying the S12 skates for recreational use?
ive skated for almost a year..I skate around 2 times a week, but don't play hockey.
Will there be any advantages with these skates over the S9 skates for recreational use(now that s12s are only around 200)?
dumbkkid 1 year ago
or is it a complete waste of money for going for these?
dumbkkid 1 year ago
@dumbkkid I personally don't think it would be necessary. For recreational skating the S9 or even the S5 would be sufficient.
