@slodrum If you want a small compact phone with a pretty good touchscreen get the SE Mini (i have one).

But if u want a phone with lots of apps (SE still has lots of apps but..) and more user friendly and probably easier to work similar to itouch (i have a itouch 4g 32gb and its awesome) so yeah SE is probs cheeper though, but i'd go with the 3gs just because it is an iphone, i only got a SE mini, because i wanted to upgrade from my rubbish little vodafone 541! and its a LOT better! so good luck

This phone is way too small, probably the smallest smartphone on the market, the Mini Pro is better since it has a QWERTY keyboard which would make it easier to text with. I imagine some girls would like this phone so they can stuff it in their pocket.

@sookster54 I got this phone and its great. For texting, youjust have to get a vitrual keyboard on the android market, and it works fine... Just need to adjust to the small screen, though.

Oh and... not having mutli-touch is really frustrating...

@schmutzgreiffer i consider buying pro version because of emails i plan to ocasionally read/answer. for sms - on screen is fine, but it is too slow for a bit longer messages. (i tested both devices in mediamarkt, and typing without keyboard was quite slow, and it is even worse if you have bulky fingers since screen is quite small)

Only has Android 1.6 and is very buggy. Won't get android 2.1 untill Q4 2010 (December) even though 2.2 is out now and in Q4 android 3.0 is being released. I feel like I have paid top money for a phone thats far behind all the rest. Given the choice again I would get a HTC :-( + the battery lasts 10 hours with apps running.
