  • This is why I LOVE acoustic guitar!!!! :D

  • awesome video! cant believe discovered this right now!

  • I love his acoustic style. They way I describe the sound of some of his stuff is medieval in a way, dark sounding which I love. I really hope he uses 2:41 for an AB song though, it would sound awesome. That and 3:52

  • Melody is in himm. Nice one;

  • Markk really doess knoww the melodyy.

  • mark is amazing..... (:

  • 1:28 --life must go on?? this was made before ABIII

  • @DorkyMusicNinja He is just playing ideas he came up with, alot of the stuff he just had on his computer. You might find out that he will use some of these progressions on later albums.

  • @DorkyMusicNinja you think the songs for ABIII were all made in a day? musicians work on songs for a long time man. im sure those songs were being worked on maybe even a year before the album came out.

  • @JoeGuitarGuy i know. i just enjoy stating the obvious... :D

  • @JoeGuitarGuy Ha, even a year before the album came out? Dude, at least 6 of the songs on AB III were written when Blackbird came out, they just weren't put on the record. Wonderful Life was written in 2006.

  • @Jellostix09 Well thanks for further proving my stattement.

  • @DorkyMusicNinja He wrote way before

  • can someon give me the name of all the songs played by mark tremonti in this vedeo ;pliz

  • @xundercover9789 Example 1 is a B side not recorded called Solace

Example 2 is not an official song as of now

Example 3 is Life Must Go On

Example 4 is on my way now. I can't wait for that song to come out! There is only live footage of it. No recording

Example 5 is not an official song as of now.

Example 6 is Away in Silence

Example 7 is not an official song as of now

    Example 8 is Blackbird

  • @SuperGuitarMark Mark, is that you? Maybe yes... im trying all the day to play those melodies... You 're by far my favourite guitarist, and Alter bridge is my Favourite band !!! I hope you will make more albums, even better than the other 3 you guys made...

P.S All your three albums were perfect for me... never heard any better songs !!!

  • @Theosalonika2010 Haha! That made my day! Im sorry to burst your bubble but im not Mark Tremonti. I'm a different Mark. (A really big fan of his). But don't feel bad, We all make these kind of mistakes. I make these kind of mistakes almost every day!

  • @SuperGuitarMark Its okay... :D. everyone do these kind of mistakes very often... do you know to play those melodies of this videos? I only know Blackbird, a little Life Must go On, and i can play (but not good, cause i don 't know how to use Alternate tuning, if you do, please tell me) the first one..

  • @Theosalonika2010 I do know a few. In the dvd, it comes with a tab book and before every 2 examples, he goes over each tuning and explains why he likes them and so on. You have a certain tuning or example that you what to know the tuning for?

  • @SuperGuitarMark Yo, im Theosalonika... Theosalonika was my bro 's account, GangstaWarrior is mine

So look, i have Standar tuning on my guitar. Never changed it... i want to put if its possible the alternate tuning... so it will sound almost exactly like the guitar of Mark at this video... That 's why i asked you if you know the tuning... and i want some help ... do you know the first, the third and the last example? I Want to learn them... i would be so happy.... :P

  • @GangstaWarrior2012 It will sound exactly like his guitar. Its is very hard to explain how to tune to different tunings with out a visual demonstration like videos or me being there in person. For the last example, look up how to tune to Eb. on the first example, look up to to tune to Drop D and Drop Db (The song is in Drop Db but if you learn how to do Drop D and Eb tuning, It will be alot easier for you to understand how to do Drop Db). And 3rd example is called Drop Db5.

  • @GangstaWarrior2012 Drop Db5 is very tricky, so learn the other tunings first and then for Db5, You tune to drop D (from EADGBE to DADGBE) and then tune the G string up to A, The B string up to D, And the High E string down to D. (DADADD) then tune every note down a half step (Db,Ab,Db,Ab,Db,Db)

  • @SuperGuitarMark Well, sorry but i didn 't understand a lot from what you said... im not that good on guitar because i play less than a half year, and i can 't understand what 's the b thing :Pwhat 's the b? :P and many other things.. Im really sorry for the trouble i made you... but if you can tell me how to change my standard Tuning into Alternate, (EADGBE to.... :P) Or Alternate is Db,Ab,Db,Ab,Db,Db? Thanks btw for all your explanation

  • @GangstaWarrior2012 Its alright. I had the same troubles back when i was first playing, (been playing for 2 and 1/2 years). It would make alternate tunings alot easier if you by yourself a Chromatic Tuner (tuner that shows every letter in the music alphabet). And as i said, there are many alternate tunings like Eb tuning (Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb). Basically the b stands for flat. In the musical alphabet a sharp (#) or flat (b) is a note that is in between 2 letter like in a and b, theres one note in

  • @GangstaWarrior2012 in between with 2 names which are A# or Bb. (Its the same note but it has 2 names, it doesn't matter which one you call it for now). A# meaning that its a higher pitched version of A and Bb meaning a Lower pitched version of B. its the same for all letters except in between E and F & B and C. Like there is no such thing as a E sharp or a Fb or a B# or a Cb. For tuning. for Eb tuning. bring every string down by 1 fret (known as a simitone or a half step) by turning the tuning

  • @GangstaWarrior2012 Peg on the E string down until its becomes an Eb (or D#, whatever you want to call it), the a string down to Ab, D to Db, G to Gb, B to Bb, and E to Eb. This is the tuning used for the last example. How to do Db (Db,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb,) is by taking the Eb string and tune it down until it gets to Db and leave every other string alone and you have the tuning for the first song. the Db5 tuning is pretty hard to take in for a beginner so i will explain that if you understand this.

  • does he modulate a lot or does he harmonize within the same scale mostly?

  • I would feel so happy if i was able to play those musics like Tremonti does... i Play a little the first, and Blackbird...

  • Away in silence by Creed was in there 2 as well as life must go on by AB

  • isn't his picking technique pretty unusual? Im just getting into fingerpicking and im wondering what the best way is to go about it? Traditional or this?

  • @Barefoot67

Learn both, that's what I'm doing, they both have thier uses =)

  • :50 is my favorite. He could do something great with that. It sounds like it will be a Creed song.

  • That shit rules

  • 1:26 intro to life must go on!!

  • Mad skills
