Is Bill O'reilly trying to have a drunk driving argument or an illegal alien argument?? He is mixing the 2 topics together and he is wrong for doing so. The drunk driver in question in here, did not drink and drive because he was an illegal alien, he did it because hes a fool. O'Reilly has it spot-on here! No question about it. Rivera (as much as I respect him) is totally and completely wrong here. Although this is slightly off the subject being debated between the two of them: if an American relocates to Mexico, that American is not allowed to work any job. Rivera doesn't take into account the fact, that had the guy not been in the country (especially with priors) there is a significant chance that he wouldn't have killed someone after driving drunk in this country.
So, let's say this individual was deported. What if, and I'm just saying, this tragedy occurred and the perpetrator was American. This event would not have even been brought up would it? There are hundreds of D.U.I and D.W.I instances weekly. Rivera's point is that the entire event revolved around drunk driving, O'Reilly's was that he was an Illegal Immigrant. These are two different points. Would be nice to hear your two-cents on that.

Deaths at the hands of drunk drivers make the news all of the time, many of which involve illegal immigrants - and which don't make the headlines and there are much worse deaths attributable to illegal immigrants. That doesn't mean that all immigrants are evil or that all illegal immigrants are evil, either. All O'Reilly is saying, is that illegal immigration needs to be cracked down on.
My point is that the point of the conversation was drunk driving, not immigration. Another way to view it is that if it had been an American that caused the event O'Reilly would not have even talked about it, but because it involved an illegal he did. This is also Rivera's point. I agree with O'Reilly on the fact he should have been deported, I find him a moron for shouting it at the top of his lungs to the guy less than five feet from him.

Geraldo is right. The guy's legal status didn't kill this girl. His drunk driving did. And the first does not cause the second. And saying deportation would get this guy off the street in the U.S. is like saying a caught fish will quit swimming if you release it. He's just going to hop the border again. If you really want a criminal (legal or otherwise) off the street, the best way to do it is to keep them here in the U.S.-- in a jail cell.

O'Reilly has it spot-on here! No question about it. Rivera (as much as I respect him) is totally and completely wrong here. Although this is slightly off the subject being debated between the two of them: if an American relocates to Mexico, that American is not allowed to work any job. Rivera doesn't take into account the fact, that had the guy not been in the country (especially with priors) there is a significant chance that he wouldn't have killed someone after driving drunk in this country.

My point is that the point of the conversation was drunk driving, not immigration. Another way to view it is that if it had been an American that caused the event O'Reilly would not have even talked about it, but because it involved an illegal he did. This is also Rivera's point. I agree with O'Reilly on the fact he should have been deported, I find him a moron for shouting it at the top of his lungs to the guy less than five feet from him.

And saying deportation would get this guy off the street in the U.S. is like saying a caught fish will quit swimming if you release it. He's just going to hop the border again. good lord I know-what you nimrods still didn't get time and time again (hence the repetition) is that if we enforced our immigration laws, closed our borders, stopped sanctuary cities, caught/deported theses illegals they would not be here in the first place to commit crimes.
Don't forget Gayraldo tried to make it seem this was a 'drunk driving' issue, not an illegal alien issue-as if illegals had a right to be in the country and be treated with the same rights/privileges as legit immigrants.
