Also one thing I noticed - once you get the glitch going, it seems you can pick up the nodes you've gathered, and still have them spawn in the hallway.  This glitch only stopped working for me once I finally picked up the hallway node by hand. This doesn't make the glitch any faster, but at least you know how many you have so far. Since I stopped paying attention and counting. I assumed I had like 90 nodes, turned out it was 42.

I'd been prepping for hardcore mode, and reading up on the best save spots. I've heard a mix of chapter 5, 6, or after the disc swap (on 360).

But let me tell you - if you do this glitch, you'll probably want to save earlier, and just have one of the saves further apart. I can say from last night's experience, it really sucks to spend an hour doing this, then dying without having all of your nodes saved. So when I re-do this glitch, I will definitely be saving sooner than later.

hey! i gotta say, that glitch really works! had to try it twice, but then it worked. no the problem is: i did that pretty often, so i got 102 power nodes at the end. i also tuned a few weapons of mine nearly to the max (the rig and stasis, too). but maybe i was taking it too far? since i did that, everything went fine, until a room, where the doors remained closed. i waited 5 minutes, or so and then they've opened. next bug that happened was after the train action: when you are hanging upside

down and you have to kill a few aliens, there should be another big one above of you. so, i killed those aliens and waited - nothing happened. it took about 5 minutes again, till isaac was aiming above him for that big guy. after that, i was able to play on, until that room, where those little creepy kid-alien-dudes are going after you. normally, there are a bunch of those guys, but this time there just were 3, or 4 .so i couldn't get to the elevatour - it remained closed

and even if i killed those guys, there was that sound of a few of those creeps anyways (so i guess they just didn't appear - but they kind of were there - and i couldn't shoot 'em, what would be neccesary to go on).

long story short: anybody else has that buggy gameplay after kind of "overusing" this glitch? (i'm playin on ps3 btw)

I am having trouble getting this glitch going. First my game hasn't been updated, I am using basic version, no DLCs of any kind, I picked up everything except the nodes up to the point I get my first suit, didn't pick up anything after i bought the suit and killed the tripod, but every time, node will only spawn twice, and then nothing, I followed the video step by step, I am on xbox playing hardcore, and I did the same thing on zealot and it works, but can't get it happen in hardcore. Advices?

I didn't see it mentioned but are you not supposed to pickup anything but the first health pack and flashlight? I see that you haven't grabbed some items but not sure how far back you are not supposed to grab anything.

@jackslater230011 Took little over 200 nodes. But I just recently found out that if you wait 5-7 minutes, the doors will automatically open for you. Meaning you don't fight as many baddies, thus conserving ammo and health.

Like almost everyone else, it took a couple of tries to get the glitch right. The real problem is when I reach the laundry room on chapter 2, the room shuts down and no enemies come, pretty much locking me in. Wad it perhaps I took too many power nodes, or what gives?? And for the record, all this is on hardcore difficulty.

Just started my game on Zealot, and decided to use this little glitch to help me along. The first 2 times I tried it, the power nodes only duped once or twice, but got into a real groove the third time around and ended up netting 70 nodes in about an hour. Nice to have the fully upgraded RIG, stasis, and Plasma Cutter right off the hop! Thanks OneDarkWarlock69!

I manage to get it to work but it stopped duping when I or to 39 nodes. An yes I followed what ODW said to do and I did update DS2.

lol, so I did this yesterday got 90 nodes on hardcore then proceeded to go all rambo & died without saving all that work, said a lot of choice words i can tell ya,,, just on with it again & will save at 1st part of chapter 2, didn't quite work as in the vid but I managed to save it (both times ) by using the node in the storeroom, anyway thanks ODW your a star !

I can attest to this. It works. I tried it on my PS/ on Hardcore mode. I don`t recommend shooting the nodes in the room with the vent to save time, it stops the glitch. Just follow what he says.

I'm trying this right now and doing everything just like you say, except that I already collected the Power Node from the room with the balloons. Does it have to be two of the same type of item in order for the regen to work?

Did As Instructed And It Only Gave Me Two Extra Then They Disappeared So I Only Got 4 In Total..
