@zoleary091092 Of course the horse was not killed "on track". It was forced to walk on a broken leg to die where no one could see. The mob needs to be spared the sight of what happens in the name of entertainment.
the sad, harsh fact is most horses that break a leg like Geeorb did are euthanized. and it's not because they're murdered, its because when a horse breaks a leg,it has to put ALL of its remaining weight on its 3 healthy legs and that causes issues and infections like laminitis to occur. it's not fair to blame racing for this horse's death.he could have easily broken a leg in the pasture and died the same way(I've witnessed it too many times before)

@takuradream horses arent purposely bred for jumps racing. when they can no longer be competitive on the flat we choose to put them over the jumps as a new lease of life as it often rejuvenates an older, slower horse giving them something they can be talented at.
@spw249 This is a good thing, and I apologise if I cast a blanket generalisition across all jump race horses and how they get onto the track. But generally speaking, breeding animals for pure performance and winning is bound to result in many unwanted lives - when the animal doesn't meet expectations or standards. What happens to this poor creature? I just think we owe it to these amazing animals to breed them carefully, thoughtfully and limit their numbers to avoid unnecessary suffering.
baha WHAT IDIOTS! Oh, that's right, the owners don't give a shit about their horses so they 'get rid of them' the moment the money stops coming in. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. At least it's the last season of horses that 'have' to be destroyed... you know, if I could, I'd take them all. I can't. It's the owners job to take care of them.
Well now. Some of the hurdlers will go to SA to continue their career, but I hope you realise 100s more will now probably end up in the knackery. Some will be sold on to pony clubbers who lose interest in 6 months and forget the horse exists. Some will stay with their owners and retire. With the drought, many ppl wont be able to afford them. I am no fan of jumps, but you did this so you fix it. YOU take responsibility and save some of these horses. YOU are the pathetic hypocrite. DISGUSTING.
But your missing the whole point, the owners have to take care of them, not just kill them because they can't make them money anymore! And if they 'can't afford' their horse any longer, they should of thought about that before they got the horse.
It had to end one day, if not more horses would have suffered. Maybe it's time for the RSPCA to get off their asses and do something to help the ex-racehorses.
YOUR MISSING THE POINT, Owners have them in a stable becouse some are too dangerous for ppl like you to handle, jumping is there last stop. Without a jumps future what are they going to do? Some are too dangerous to be rehomed? You have been the one on here saying you want it stopped, well you got that so grow up and take responisbility and come and take the horses that are not able to be rehomed!!!!! I bet your to WEAK !!!!
Before the hurdles were lowered and made into 'toothbrushes' the fatality rate in falls was 1 in 6. When they were lowered the rate became 1 in 3. In England it is 1 in 15, and those jumps are massive. You cant argue with statistics, The RSPCA did this. Owners of racehorses buy them to be just that, not pets. Like ppl buy a horse to be a show horse or a dressage horse. When they cannot do that anymore, ppl dont keep them, thats life.
but guess what einstein!! if they aren't racing they cant keep them because there is no money coming to look after them! all you people that are stopping the jumps are ruining lives of not only the families of JOCKEYS and th TRAINERS and some owners but hte lives of all the horses that will have to put down so more will be killed because your stopping it then it would not stopping it because no one can look after them because there is NO MORE MONEY so now they will be dog food congrats on wining
The blame should lie on more shoulders than the ones you state. The jumps themselves were modified to appease people, then the flimsy plastic strands on a rock solid base caused more equine fatalities as the horses didn't realise they had to lift over a certain height.
It was either ban jumps racing or design an obstacle the horses would respect and really try to jump over. The 'fences/hurdles' just prior to the ban were a disgrace.
i know exactly what will happen.. tell me what do you have to do with horse racing personally?
my life is all about the industry so i am pretty sure i know WAY more than all of you! and most will have to be put down because .. you know once they retire they can be put in paddocks because the traners have the money to do so but since there won't be any money comeing in there is nothing to do with them...
I worked in a stables for quite a few years so don't be so presumptious and superior.
And it would be wise not to private message people calling them names.
Yes, occasionally a horse is killed and it is the jockies choice to enter the sport. The horses I worked with were treated wonderfully and most retired to careers such as hunting, dressage, showjumping etc.
Nowadays overbreeding needs to be addressed but better the unwanted horse be humanely shot than left suffer and die in a field.
@feathers666 then why have you stopped it and why have you agreed to stop it! yes they do get treated well.. but now MANY will be shot because of the lack of money and they dont just get shot! they get injected which simply makes them go to sleep an pass... unless there are scum people who will shoot them! im not being superior im simply stating fact!
@feathers666 as sad as it may be.. may i ask have you even walked into a stable were they are trained and see the luxury they live? please. the only reason these horses have even lived in the first place is because they were bread to race!
@feathers666 and don't think im a heartless bitch because i am all about animal rights and global warming and helping poverty! but i know what i am talking about and you just think your helping these horses and your not.. i promise you your not! and you say they dont have a choice well they sort of do my dad had a runner the other day (in normal racing and it just didn't want to run so it didn't try..
If we can stay on the one related subject, Animal Rights is hugely different from Animal Welfare. I disagree with factory farming, fur farming, foie gras production but I agree with horse racing and I agree with medical research on animals.
Why do you think?
Be careful of relating yourself to Animal Rights as they are more concerned with malicious behaviour or controlling people then they would ever actually care about an animal.
You're missing my point here, these fences modified to please bleeding hearts and animal rights brigades have caused more injuries and, as there is no way anyone would be 'allowed' to reinstate the original sizes, especially after the deaths over the flimsy killers, the only option left to to ban it.
I don't agree with the banning. The crux of the issue is those shrieking 'murder' have left more horses with no careers and little options. Essentially they, again, are causing more deaths and suffering for horses as they are expensive animals not making any income. So what is an owner/trainer meant to do with them?!
But they get their way and don't care about the consequences.
You've put words into my mouth, sent rude messages and behaved hysterically all because I did not bow down to everything you want.
I said you were being overly dramatic on my first response and that's all you saw.
Read back. I have explained about the issue of the Animal Rights crowd getting their way over the lowering of fences issue that has increased the deaths of horses, then the eventual banning which increases it even more.
@feathers666 plu its not just the horses risking their lives its the jockeys too they die and im close to a jockey who has been trampled to death its a HORRIBLE THING when they die.. so please just all of you randoms keep to your own jobs and your own lives and leaves our alone!
UNEDUCATED! You are the uneducated idiot. You simply believe you are here to make everything better. Fuck me accidents happen in everyday life and we all hate it, no way to stop it or prevent. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow, but with a bit of luck it might be a bus load of you do-gooders who have no idea which gets driven off a cliff. YOU are not worth explaining too. Give up your pathetic fight and go play with your plastic ponies or something.
You are resorting to insulting me. Accidents happen? Isn't it better to prevent these horrible "accidents"? 13 deaths this year! A 1 in 24 chance of being killed! These are not coincidences, it's a matter of time! Give up your PATHECTIC fight. You have no points, your bringing up irrelevant issues. Are you aware of the fact that this "sport" has been banned in all states except Victoria and South Australia!
YOU are not worth arguing with. You have proven yourself to be uneducated, you continually try to make points which are eaisily dismissed with the truth. Your grammar also indicates your stupidity.
"The horses jump for the same reason that horses ran towards cannon in many wars.....they knew the pain which would be inflicted upon them if they did otherwise. Even the great Federico Tesio (he outranks you, Melissa, in the knowledge of thoroughbreds) made the point that horses jump because they are 'compelled' to jump. Get belted with a stick often enough, and with spurs being kicked into your sides, and you'd jump too."
your not even worth arguing with, until u go into a stable and see how well cared for then are then get back to me. have u worked round race horses, obviously u havent, there not bad mannered cos they were treated poorly. I think u think that they should all be dead quite like a 10yr old pony? What are they going to put a plaster on the horse and then it be fine, its a lot more different than a human broken bone. When have jockeys worn spurs i think u mean at pony club they were them.
I actually have had experience in a stable. You need to research things before you say them. So you are unaware that a horses leg could mend? They are infact bad mannered because they have been hit with whips and treated as profit machines! No one spends time to bond and show love to them. "Well cared for". Are you saying that being in a stable with a food and water well cared for? When do they get to socalize? You belive these generic lies.
well at the least they are fed and watered unlike some of you people saving them and leaving them in a paddock to starve, that is FACT. we have all seen it.
How dare you state that race horses are neglected. I am not a great fan of jumps racing, but these horses are NOT neglected. This proves your ignorance and how unknowledgable you really are. Obviously you have not witnessed true neglect. And yes, I have witnessed these "do gooders"saving horses and where are they 6 months down the track? STARVING in a paddock. That is why some ppl send their horses for dog meat, so you idiots cant get your hands on them and starve them to death.
Why do the horses who's jockeys have fallen off continue to run and continue to jump the fences when they are riderless? Surely they can stop running or run around the jump? They jump because they enjoy it.
Without a comment for or against the reason is that they are herd animals and are following the others through instinct.
A lot of more experienced horses do go around the jump or indeed make their way back to the stable area.
Most horses jump as they are asked to, and, mostly, given good treatment are willing to do practically anything required. Despite the ability, it's not a natural thing for them to do.
Lol watever, How do humans make horses fear them????? explain, cos ive jumped many horses and they love them and ive been on horses that dont and they plain out refuse to jump so tell me how to make them jump. Come on u seem to think ur an expert tell us more, u seem to think u know everything have u been into a stable and observed what happens or are u one of those idiots thats jst judging from the outside?
let me tell u these horse are NEVER forgotten about, trust me i know. spw249 is right, wat do u thinks going to happen when u get jumps racing banned? We will give them to u and see how much they get looked after...... do u think u would look after the 100 or more horses better than were they are now? Oh i can tell u these horses arent forced to jump they are a lot stronger than any of us and if they didnt want to they wouldnt!
Your name does seem to stand for your IQ. Humans have many ways of making these horses fear them. I can tell you that if I had a horse I would NEVER subject it to cruel treatment. Spw246 has proven he does forget horses when they no longer make profit. "Send them to the knackery" is what I made of his recent comment.
Spw249 is exactly right! Yous are so blind, you protest about this yet these horses are well cared for and are not forgotten about, u should be protesting at the knackery where houndreds of horses die each day.
These horses are indeed forgotten about. This is a cruel practice and we have a voice in abolishing it. The" knackery' is a differen't issue, but Jumps racing is the issue we are protesting today.
god you are all so fucked, how many of you have actually ever touched a horse? you CANNOT force a half tonne horse to jump, so do not tell me they hate jumping! accidents happen in everyday life. you think we like seeing this happen? no. we live and breathe these horses they are our life, so how dare you say we are cruel.
now you and your 15 paid protestors fuckwit mates run along now and FUCK OFF.
stop fighting a battle you have already lost, we will show you up every time.
As said below, anybody who cared for their horse would never put it in a race with a 1 in 24 chance of being killed! These horses are treated as profit machines. You can force these beings to jump. They do it out of fear.
These protesters are NOT paid. I have never been paid. Nor has anyone else who CARES. Just because you can't understand how anyone would do something and not get any PROFIT out of it.
ok then, you sound like an expert on racing. so if the knackery is a different issue, you have no problem with all the ex-jumpers/racehorses going there when they are retired because there is no jumps to further their careers? there is no fairyland where we can put them in a big grassy paddock & they can all live happily together. or are you going to look after them all? then neglect them. are you going to ban equestrian next? those horses jump out fear dont you reckon! not. you fool.
What you have just said has proven you care not for your horses when they can no longer make you profit. I find this digusting. You are well aware of the fact that they can be injured on track. If you do not intend to keep them when they no longer make profit you should have a caring home organised for them. A broken leg is no reason to shoot them.
LOL you make a remark about my comment iq i would hate to see urs cos u dnt sound very smart at all! You do not realise that most of these horses in jumping are can not easly be rehomed they are bad natured so jumping is there saviour from the slaughter house. now look who sounds cruel " a broken leg is no reason to shoot them" what u going to let them run round and be in pain on 3 legs? putting them down is the most humane thing
If a human had a broken leg, the right thing to do would be to shoot him/her because they were in pain? I think not. Ever heard of a vetenairy clinic? Have you ever thought why these horses are so "bad natured"? You would learn to fear creatures who had acted cruely towards you.
Words can not describe how heartbreaking that is! I cant believe that steeples are still legal and practised. But the most disgusting race to watch by far is the humans!
You can't justify animal cruelty with more animal cruelty. Anybody who loves their horse would not place them in a situation where they have a 1:24 chance of being killed. Yes 1:24 horses that compete in jumps racing is killed on the racetrack.
you are an idiot, there are other ways on drawing attention to this than posting a horse dying. you's are single minded do honestly think who ever owned or looked after that horse does not care that happened! Take a look at other horse sports they are jst as dangerous!
not as dangerous as jumps i saw 2 horses die yesterday in a private race and nobody even cared that they were going to die horses like to jump but jump to der deaths so learn to shut ya mouth b4 i do !
As long as there is support, from unknowing people who attend these races, and flat racing as well, they will continue. Educate, share knowledge of what really happens to these horses, and speak to the hearts of the fans who keep this sport alive. This madness has to stop.
Thank goodness I'm the only one sitting here in the office - tears are welling in my eyes. I am sickened to see yeta nother horse's life taken, all in the name of 'sport'. How can people pay to watch this so called form of entertainment. When is enough enough?
How very, very, sad. Those poor, beautiful creatures were murdered for no good reason at all...what a horrible and reprehensible human activity.. Why don't humans just leave other animals alone? HORSE RACING KILLS!
it's all a bit sickening isn't it? you know, the fact that this industry has not yet come to its senses and banned this sport and stopped killing these voiceless creatures.
I can't believe they still haven't banned this sport. Can't they tell the changes aren't stopping the horses from being killed? it's disgusting. I made a movie about banning it too, unfortunately youtube blocked the sound, but the message is the same. I wish I was able to make it tomorrow to the protest but I'm from interstate so I won't be able to make it over :(
no horse should be asked to run its heart out and jump at the same time. Its not natural, its cruel and mean >.>

But your missing the whole point, the owners have to take care of them, not just kill them because they can't make them money anymore! And if they 'can't afford' their horse any longer, they should of thought about that before they got the horse.
It had to end one day, if not more horses would have suffered. Maybe it's time for the RSPCA to get off their asses and do something to help the ex-racehorses.
alexandblah 2 years ago
YOUR MISSING THE POINT, Owners have them in a stable becouse some are too dangerous for ppl like you to handle, jumping is there last stop. Without a jumps future what are they going to do? Some are too dangerous to be rehomed? You have been the one on here saying you want it stopped, well you got that so grow up and take responisbility and come and take the horses that are not able to be rehomed!!!!! I bet your to WEAK !!!!
001jay100 2 years ago
Before the hurdles were lowered and made into 'toothbrushes' the fatality rate in falls was 1 in 6. When they were lowered the rate became 1 in 3. In England it is 1 in 15, and those jumps are massive. You cant argue with statistics, The RSPCA did this. Owners of racehorses buy them to be just that, not pets. Like ppl buy a horse to be a show horse or a dressage horse. When they cannot do that anymore, ppl dont keep them, thats life.
debacle22 2 years ago 5
but guess what einstein!! if they aren't racing they cant keep them because there is no money coming to look after them! all you people that are stopping the jumps are ruining lives of not only the families of JOCKEYS and th TRAINERS and some owners but hte lives of all the horses that will have to put down so more will be killed because your stopping it then it would not stopping it because no one can look after them because there is NO MORE MONEY so now they will be dog food congrats on wining
alikennedystar 2 years ago 2
@alikennedystar
And please stop the drama queening.
feathers666 2 years ago
@feathers666 i am not being a drama queen..
i know exactly what will happen.. tell me what do you have to do with horse racing personally?
my life is all about the industry so i am pretty sure i know WAY more than all of you! and most will have to be put down because .. you know once they retire they can be put in paddocks because the traners have the money to do so but since there won't be any money comeing in there is nothing to do with them...
alikennedystar 2 years ago
I worked in a stables for quite a few years so don't be so presumptious and superior.
And it would be wise not to private message people calling them names.
Yes, occasionally a horse is killed and it is the jockies choice to enter the sport. The horses I worked with were treated wonderfully and most retired to careers such as hunting, dressage, showjumping etc.
Nowadays overbreeding needs to be addressed but better the unwanted horse be humanely shot than left suffer and die in a field.
feathers666 2 years ago
@feathers666 then why have you stopped it and why have you agreed to stop it! yes they do get treated well.. but now MANY will be shot because of the lack of money and they dont just get shot! they get injected which simply makes them go to sleep an pass... unless there are scum people who will shoot them! im not being superior im simply stating fact!

@feathers666 as sad as it may be.. may i ask have you even walked into a stable were they are trained and see the luxury they live? please. the only reason these horses have even lived in the first place is because they were bread to race!
alikennedystar 2 years ago
@feathers666 and don't think im a heartless bitch because i am all about animal rights and global warming and helping poverty! but i know what i am talking about and you just think your helping these horses and your not.. i promise you your not! and you say they dont have a choice well they sort of do my dad had a runner the other day (in normal racing and it just didn't want to run so it didn't try..
alikennedystar 2 years ago
@alikennedystar
Have a look at Penn and Teller PETA/Bulls**t
feathers666 2 years ago
@feathers666 ... im 13 i dont really know the difference but thankyou for explaining it to me... but what you have done is wrong!
alikennedystar 2 years ago
You're missing my point here, these fences modified to please bleeding hearts and animal rights brigades have caused more injuries and, as there is no way anyone would be 'allowed' to reinstate the original sizes, especially after the deaths over the flimsy killers, the only option left to to ban it.
feathers666 2 years ago
I don't agree with the banning. The crux of the issue is those shrieking 'murder' have left more horses with no careers and little options. Essentially they, again, are causing more deaths and suffering for horses as they are expensive animals not making any income. So what is an owner/trainer meant to do with them?!
But they get their way and don't care about the consequences.
feathers666 2 years ago
im confused on whose side your on
alikennedystar 2 years ago
You've put words into my mouth, sent rude messages and behaved hysterically all because I did not bow down to everything you want.
I said you were being overly dramatic on my first response and that's all you saw.
Read back. I have explained about the issue of the Animal Rights crowd getting their way over the lowering of fences issue that has increased the deaths of horses, then the eventual banning which increases it even more.
I have agreed with you in general.
But whatever you want.
feathers666 2 years ago
@feathers666 ohhhhhhhhhhhhh okay well im confused..
then i like you lol :D
alikennedystar 2 years ago
@feathers666 plu its not just the horses risking their lives its the jockeys too they die and im close to a jockey who has been trampled to death its a HORRIBLE THING when they die.. so please just all of you randoms keep to your own jobs and your own lives and leaves our alone!

your all idiots
alikennedystar 2 years ago
Give up your pathetic fight and go play with your plastic ponies or something.
spw249 2 years ago
You are resorting to insulting me. Accidents happen? Isn't it better to prevent these horrible "accidents"? 13 deaths this year! A 1 in 24 chance of being killed! These are not coincidences, it's a matter of time! Give up your PATHECTIC fight. You have no points, your bringing up irrelevant issues. Are you aware of the fact that this "sport" has been banned in all states except Victoria and South Australia!
alexandblah 2 years ago
001jay100.
YOU are not worth arguing with. You have proven yourself to be uneducated, you continually try to make points which are eaisily dismissed with the truth. Your grammar also indicates your stupidity.
alexandblah 2 years ago
"The horses jump for the same reason that horses ran towards cannon in many wars.....they knew the pain which would be inflicted upon them if they did otherwise. Even the great Federico Tesio (he outranks you, Melissa, in the knowledge of thoroughbreds) made the point that horses jump because they are 'compelled' to jump. Get belted with a stick often enough, and with spurs being kicked into your sides, and you'd jump too."
alexandblah 2 years ago
your not even worth arguing with, until u go into a stable and see how well cared for then are then get back to me. have u worked round race horses, obviously u havent, there not bad mannered cos they were treated poorly. I think u think that they should all be dead quite like a 10yr old pony? What are they going to put a plaster on the horse and then it be fine, its a lot more different than a human broken bone. When have jockeys worn spurs i think u mean at pony club they were them.
001jay100 2 years ago
I actually have had experience in a stable. You need to research things before you say them. So you are unaware that a horses leg could mend? They are infact bad mannered because they have been hit with whips and treated as profit machines! No one spends time to bond and show love to them. "Well cared for". Are you saying that being in a stable with a food and water well cared for? When do they get to socalize? You belive these generic lies.
alexandblah 2 years ago
well at the least they are fed and watered unlike some of you people saving them and leaving them in a paddock to starve, that is FACT. we have all seen it.
spw249 2 years ago
Again, a differen't issue! Jumps Racing is the topic here. Mind you, these horses are neglected.
alexandblah 2 years ago
mind you these horse are bused and drugged and are over trained
WestlifeFan1995 2 years ago
How dare you state that race horses are neglected. I am not a great fan of jumps racing, but these horses are NOT neglected. This proves your ignorance and how unknowledgable you really are. Obviously you have not witnessed true neglect. And yes, I have witnessed these "do gooders"saving horses and where are they 6 months down the track? STARVING in a paddock. That is why some ppl send their horses for dog meat, so you idiots cant get your hands on them and starve them to death.
debacle22 2 years ago 2
Why do the horses who's jockeys have fallen off continue to run and continue to jump the fences when they are riderless? Surely they can stop running or run around the jump? They jump because they enjoy it.
puntingpatto 2 years ago
thats exactly right. a 500kg horse CANNOT be forced to jump anything, they jump because they enjoy it and want to do it.
spw249 2 years ago
@puntingpatto
Without a comment for or against the reason is that they are herd animals and are following the others through instinct.
A lot of more experienced horses do go around the jump or indeed make their way back to the stable area.
Most horses jump as they are asked to, and, mostly, given good treatment are willing to do practically anything required. Despite the ability, it's not a natural thing for them to do.
feathers666 2 years ago
Lol watever, How do humans make horses fear them????? explain, cos ive jumped many horses and they love them and ive been on horses that dont and they plain out refuse to jump so tell me how to make them jump. Come on u seem to think ur an expert tell us more, u seem to think u know everything have u been into a stable and observed what happens or are u one of those idiots thats jst judging from the outside?
001jay100 2 years ago
let me tell u these horse are NEVER forgotten about, trust me i know. spw249 is right, wat do u thinks going to happen when u get jumps racing banned? We will give them to u and see how much they get looked after...... do u think u would look after the 100 or more horses better than were they are now? Oh i can tell u these horses arent forced to jump they are a lot stronger than any of us and if they didnt want to they wouldnt!
001jay100 2 years ago
Your name does seem to stand for your IQ. Humans have many ways of making these horses fear them. I can tell you that if I had a horse I would NEVER subject it to cruel treatment. Spw246 has proven he does forget horses when they no longer make profit. "Send them to the knackery" is what I made of his recent comment.
alexandblah 2 years ago
Spw249 is exactly right! Yous are so blind, you protest about this yet these horses are well cared for and are not forgotten about, u should be protesting at the knackery where houndreds of horses die each day.
001jay100 2 years ago
001jay100,
These horses are indeed forgotten about. This is a cruel practice and we have a voice in abolishing it. The" knackery' is a differen't issue, but Jumps racing is the issue we are protesting today.
alexandblah 2 years ago
god you are all so fucked, how many of you have actually ever touched a horse? you CANNOT force a half tonne horse to jump, so do not tell me they hate jumping! accidents happen in everyday life. you think we like seeing this happen? no. we live and breathe these horses they are our life, so how dare you say we are cruel.
now you and your 15 paid protestors fuckwit mates run along now and FUCK OFF.
stop fighting a battle you have already lost, we will show you up every time.
spw249 2 years ago 3
Spw249,
As said below, anybody who cared for their horse would never put it in a race with a 1 in 24 chance of being killed! These horses are treated as profit machines. You can force these beings to jump. They do it out of fear.
These protesters are NOT paid. I have never been paid. Nor has anyone else who CARES. Just because you can't understand how anyone would do something and not get any PROFIT out of it.
alexandblah 2 years ago
ok then, you sound like an expert on racing. so if the knackery is a different issue, you have no problem with all the ex-jumpers/racehorses going there when they are retired because there is no jumps to further their careers? there is no fairyland where we can put them in a big grassy paddock & they can all live happily together. or are you going to look after them all? then neglect them. are you going to ban equestrian next? those horses jump out fear dont you reckon! not. you fool.
spw249 2 years ago
What you have just said has proven you care not for your horses when they can no longer make you profit. I find this digusting. You are well aware of the fact that they can be injured on track. If you do not intend to keep them when they no longer make profit you should have a caring home organised for them. A broken leg is no reason to shoot them.
alexandblah 2 years ago
LOL you make a remark about my comment iq i would hate to see urs cos u dnt sound very smart at all! You do not realise that most of these horses in jumping are can not easly be rehomed they are bad natured so jumping is there saviour from the slaughter house. now look who sounds cruel " a broken leg is no reason to shoot them" what u going to let them run round and be in pain on 3 legs? putting them down is the most humane thing
001jay100 2 years ago
If a human had a broken leg, the right thing to do would be to shoot him/her because they were in pain? I think not. Ever heard of a vetenairy clinic? Have you ever thought why these horses are so "bad natured"? You would learn to fear creatures who had acted cruely towards you.
alexandblah 2 years ago
do use dickheads seriously have nuthin better to do!!!!
piss off stupid protesters!

Words can not describe how heartbreaking that is! I cant believe that steeples are still legal and practised. But the most disgusting race to watch by far is the humans!
pennycr 2 years ago
Hey 001IQ
You can't justify animal cruelty with more animal cruelty. Anybody who loves their horse would not place them in a situation where they have a 1:24 chance of being killed. Yes 1:24 horses that compete in jumps racing is killed on the racetrack.
HorseRacingKills 2 years ago 4
you are an idiot, there are other ways on drawing attention to this than posting a horse dying. you's are single minded do honestly think who ever owned or looked after that horse does not care that happened! Take a look at other horse sports they are jst as dangerous!
001jay100 2 years ago
not as dangerous as jumps i saw 2 horses die yesterday in a private race and nobody even cared that they were going to die horses like to jump but jump to der deaths so learn to shut ya mouth b4 i do !
horselovr07 2 years ago
001, does the stand for your IQ?
You are such a red neck moron, I feel so stupid even responding to you.
You can't right wrongs unless people know about them.
That is the purpose for this video. If you care for horses, you should be applauding these people for drawing attention to this cruel sport.
Get a brain!!
HorseRacingKills 2 years ago
Why would u put that on there u are sick..... u protest about it being cruel when use are jst as bad by putting shit like this on here!
001jay100 2 years ago

HORSE RACING KILLS!
fridaytieday 2 years ago
it's all a bit sickening isn't it? you know, the fact that this industry has not yet come to its senses and banned this sport and stopped killing these voiceless creatures.
LLEWTRON 2 years ago
I can't believe they still haven't banned this sport. Can't they tell the changes aren't stopping the horses from being killed? it's disgusting. I made a movie about banning it too, unfortunately youtube blocked the sound, but the message is the same. I wish I was able to make it tomorrow to the protest but I'm from interstate so I won't be able to make it over :(
