This current theme is very similar to the ESPN College Football theme from the early 2000s. It looks like they wanted to reverted back to their old theme a bit.

This new theme is DOPE. From 0:15 to 0:30, that's an awesome drum cadence/build. Then, from 0:30 to 0:43, that theme is flat-out EPIC! So collegiate sounding, and I get chills every time I hear it. Those 13 seconds make you think about all the great things in college football, at least I think so. But ESPN should keep this theme, it's really good.
