dear freddy.........great stuff ...you really have worked hard......love your sound also what amp are you using??? keep goin we need good music like that.... best regards.....st
Freddy - I've viewed several of your videos and you have to be one of the best chord/melody jazz guitarists currently on the net - and a fan of Barney Kessel? I have been a big Kessel fan for years - I met him at Ronny Scotts with Herb Ellis and Charlie Bird in 1982 when I was 18 and have listened to his work ever since. Look forward to more of your wonderful rich extended chord work.
thx for the kind words joebarneywes ! yes barney is about my favorite for chord solos. i had most of his records.i talked to him only once at dante's restaurant when i lived in LA. saw him playing live twice. you could tell he loved the guitar !
@bassyck you really have your sh#% together my friend. You are a pleasure to listen to.Great sense of knowing and becoming the song. I've been playing electric bass for about 35 years and still play every weekend with a busy band and record voice overs as well. isn't it wonderful to do what you enjoy. Take care and spread your music.. Ed
@freddym223 Thanks for info - this is a new name to me - gonna look it up - I thought it might be some pricey luthier made job - which is how you make it sound!
This to me is a perfect demonstration of what's possible on a guitar. If I work for several months and use half the notes, I hope to learn this tune from your video. Beautiful job. Thanks!
Hi Freddy, Could you tell me if there would be a nice jazz chord between D7 and Gmaj7 descending, as in the last line of each verse of 'let it snow let it snow'. Many thanks. Sam
INCREDIBLE like all of your stuff......I love the rubato rhythm treatment too. I'm gonna try to review this and see where you are chord wise on this. Many thanks for sharing.

Hey Freddy,
I'm an accomplished pianist working on my jazz piano skills.
For some reason, I can pick up more by ear listening to a jazz guitarist rather than a jazz pianist. I tend to hear it more clearly for some reason.
Thanks for posting these.
MuscleMikal 3 years ago
thanks MuscleMikal!probably because i use less notes than a piano.also the intervals are farther apart making it easier to hear.
i used to play classical guitar arrangements on the piano as the notes are less cluttered.try it!
