This easily is my fauvorite Boss Battle of KH 2. As well as the best part in the game IMO. And probably the best Boss Battle in the whole series.

This badass motherfucker is the first boss in the entire game!

Come to think of it he's pretty much a tutorial on the basics of how to beat future bosses;

Quicktime events are your friends! (in this case at least)

One of the best and most subtle tutorials i've ever seen.

Shame that the magic and drive etc. tutorials are all text based.

Guys this boss is soo easy, just keep spamming the triangle button.When you keep doing reversal you eventually reach his head, then combo his head and then continue using reversal. Just keep using this strategy. When he does the thing he does at 1:10 just spam triangle and then when he lets go you run to the edge and eventually he will jump and throw a huge ball at you, so just spamm triangle!

It's not that hard. It's the first boss and the battle is only there so you can get used to reaction commands.

people have beaten it on critical mode in the final mix version (you half half as much health and take twice as much damage) so it's not really that amazing. plus, they beat the game on level 1...

you mean the whole game on level 1? isn't that impossible? you have to beat enemies in some missions and you get exp from them right? suppose the fight with 1000 heartless or whatever, unless I;m missing something here.

In the final mix version, if you play critical mode, you're given a few abilities right from the start, including Zero EXP, which makes it so that you gain no experience. This way, you can play through the game on level 1, while taking twice as much damage with half as much health (i.e. PURE HELL!!!)

it isnt hell. its actually pretty easy because we can do twice as much damage too! i already beat the game at lvl 1 and i can garante you, its easy if you have the right strategy to each boss.

try to have as much ethers as you can and use overdrive with auron. that way, you can pass that part. but believe me, there are parts of really mad skills!

for people who don't know its roxas hes seing his darkside just like sora did in kh as roxas pretty much does the same thing as sora did which is no surprise considering roxas is soras nobody

I just noticed that at 0:22 (start hitting pause and play really fast starting at 0:19-20 [when he starts to turn]) you can just see an organization member before the screen goes black and Twilight Thorn shows up. Which one is it?

it's either Roxas or Riku... probably Roxas because like in KH1, Sora's shadow became dark side... so Roxas's past became Twilight Thorn... or it could be Riku "testing" Roxas out(before he got his original form back)
