  • The drive is good.

  • Great line. You used the whole track width.

  • Do you guys sell bodies and build rights? I would love to get one of these but I think I would enjoy building it myself since I have the tools and skills to do so.

  • I appreciate your input. This is the nonturbo car, so the torque is much lower than the GT-3. Anyone who has driven a low torque, low weight car knows that you can only accelerate out of the corners at your own speed. If you are forced to follow someone at THEIR speed, you are limited by that.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

  • @csdiasio Isn't the GT3 N/A as well?

  • Looks like the Diasio out corners and out brakes the Porsche but the porsche just walks away from it in the straight. Not to knock Chris's driving but it didn't look like he was even attempting to utilize the draft off the Porsche

  • Rotary Renesis Power, great!!!

  • Great video, my only complaint was that it ended before i got to see you take down that GT3.

  • Nice video, looks like both cars were going very fast. The track seems really bumpy though based on your head movement.

  • try racing the track in forza 2, its exactly the same track, bumps and all

  • Even the turbo would get smoked by any gt2

  • My line and the Porsche in front of me are two different strategies. I was trying to show myself to his mirrors as much as possible, trying to affect a mistake on his part.

  • what is the knobe he is adjusting on the console? Fuel or supension?

  • er nope, still brakes...

GT35 on a motor that size? Seems a little big No?

  • Nice! What was the adjustment at about 2:49 of the vid? Brake bias?

  • Yes, brake bias adjustment. Unfortunately, the right rear brake line was not properly secured during adjustments in the morning, and it decided that the exhaust was a good place to come to rest.

  • Thanks! That car looks like a real trip to run around SIR in anger like that!

  • Nice video, looks like the 962r cornered way harder but the Porsche had a ton of HP in the straights he never made a big bobble though so he drove well also.

  • awesome, fantastic, you are a great driver

  • Thank you. We have since added a Garrett G35 turbo to the car and are making 400 hp at 10 lbs of boost. There is a bit of video on You Tube with the new car at Sebring. More to come.

  • Simply great.

  • yup, no doubt about it, we have a Sport Prototype here in France that also runs with a Renesis engine, awesome on the twisty, just lacks abit of power on straight like this one !! no doubt it helps having good race lap times !! awesome, thks for the video !

  • Then you must understand how on a track with 4 significantly long straights, a car with over twice the torque would be able to outaccelerate the D962R. Put the car on a twisty track, however, and there would be no comparison.

  • im no benchracer..FIA Int B licence..

  • Weight is not everything. Torque is a huge factor- and the reason that the Porsche accelerates away in the long straights, but the D962R easily catches up in the corners. The D962R is in fact several seconds a lap faster, and 1/2 the price. Don't be impressed, that's fine, but the chassis is stronger, and a new engine is less than 1/3 of the cost of a rebuild for that GT3. Be impressed with that, benchracer.

  • i would think this car would be easily faster then a cup car that weight in at 2600 pounds. where as this car is 1300. weight is everything. not impressed

  • Thanks! We should be at the next PBOC event- see you there!

  • Great battle with the Cup Car. I run with you guys at Sebring in PBOC. Good luck
