@StopItUrKillingMe The Modular Prosthetic Limb (MPL) was developed as part of a four-year program by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, along with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. GG :o
finally these prosthetic arms have actual movement that look like a real arm. I was getting tired of seeing arms that look to robotic and stiff. This is just amazing!
@hdtglobal Man, I love how personal and excited you guys are about this. Just that is enough to commend in this day and age.
I hope neural research marches on in time for you guys! It would be even more incredible to see if this can be hooked up to the basic life support systems of the body to see if it can run on it's own.
@hdtglobal Is this the project that Dean Kamen was initially involved with years ago (the DARPA arm), or is it something completely separate from that? This video demonstration is downright amazing...
My Dad's little engineering company developed the finger tip sensors. He is very, very happy that they contibuted to this amazing project. Nice job Sensing Systems...Ricardo, Vern and Mauricio!!!!
