if u'v played FF VII, XI or XII u'll know the main chars don't have fat ass swords

you can also try the 8 bit games [pre FF VII] and there ain't no big swords there either

I'll leave out the handheld console games [such as Revenant Wings, FFTA, the early FF series for GB]

Basically -

Hair cut + sword = FF VII only '<.<

Play the games, know where you stand

Dude, just where did I say that ALL SE games have huge swords? I just said that only SE is capable of making a game with such a sword. =P

Also, Zack in Crisis Core FF7 has the same giant sword. And the main char in each SE game except Dirge of Cerberus always carries a sword (no matter how big it is) and a spikey haircut. :] Call it a stereotype but sword+hair is always present, just pay more attention to their uncreativity.

I don't think it will suit many people tastes. it was in the bargain bin. i myself like different alternatives to the usual stuff. however i rarely play it but i have been thinking of giving it another go recently. i would look for some gameplay videos if you can find them.
