Pete, You must bask in your own awesomeness!! Thanks for putting this up! I loved the Spiderman cartoon as a kid and half of it was the lavish orchestral soundscapes and themes that this cartoon had. I still had the music bouncing around in my head after the show and would hum the tunes to myself as I read comic books. I got chills when I heard this. Do us all a favor and cover more of the lost original music... your works are superb!
Nicely done.....The first two (original) pieces have some fantastic french horn/ brass section riffs,....where's an orchestra when you need one? I'm still searching but I hope to find the something of the originals.
Yet to find a better rendition on Youtube or anywhere else for that matter. The attention to detail is fantastic and the choice of sounds were perfect. Two thumbs Up Pete! Thx for sharing!

I have no idea what the actual titles are. They were never released on CD or any other format. However I noticed that the first piece was used an introduction to some episodes. Imagine the cost of using a full orchestra today for a cartoon series like Spiderman or a production like Lost in Space? I really like these compositions; very atmospheric and exciting.
Thanks for the feedback. I never realised as a child that many of these episodes were most likely created by writers under the influence. I liked the series for the bizarre story lines and of course, the music; wasn't interested in Spiderman. Ray Ellis's music was superior in comparison to the cheap animation. But I guess the same could be said for the original Lost in Space. John Williams produced movie quality music in a television series which certainly didn't have movie quality.
@petejohn4 About everything was probably about passion back then, passion and money. Now its just money. I was curious about the music because I'd like to use it in some future stop-motion shorts of mine.
absolute classic, brings back memories , best cartoon music themes ever came from the 60's spiderman cartoon i loved all the theme music from 60's spiderman, i sure wish i had all of the theme music from this on cd, that would be the 1 of the best birthday or christmas present ever for me ever, thx for the post

Music composition in the 60's was probably more about the passion of making music than the money.

This is so psychodelic. I remember watching this as a little kid wondering what the f*** was going on. Still like it. Says something, I guess.
