You can see a vid on my channel. But it only shows the conductive port for the normal charger. The fast charge port is on the LH side of the car. You can just see the flap for that when it drives past. I got pics of it if you want.
That capacitor has a history of going bad. It's under a lot of stress. There is a pictorial on the EVnut website of his replacement. Somebody figured out how to find a new capacitor. Before you had to replace the whole assembly for 1 little par.
Who's to say the silly idiots won't sell the patents on to another [oil industry] company and put production by others off for another 10-15 years?! I hope to God that they don't, because Doug's car is probably going to need some more batteries in those 10-15 years. ;)
Yeah and the Mazda MX-5/Miata is a perfect example. That series of cars is perfect in just about every way. Besides, they're all convertibles!! Thanks, Japs!!
I used to be a big Toyota fan up until the "bow to Chevron" :-(
"Oh oh oh oh what a feelin"...
I hope Toyota and Tesla come up with something interesting together...

How did you figure out that capacitor was the problem?
Light at the end of the tunnel: Chevron's patent on the NiMH battery should run out about 2015. Then anyone can make one.

Nilar is making NiMH batteries that don't violate Chevron's patent today.

lets not forget the badass rx7 that was a real Porsche eater

I prefer the RX8, that thing is pretty cool. Maybe not in the same league as the RX7, but it's still a nice car.
