Almost ruined the entire movie. When TV edits censor things like "Eat my shorts" to "Eat my socks", they should also blur that shoe out and change the dialogue so it sounds like they're talking about sombreros or some shit

You see it is a sci-fi movie that takes place in 2035 and Will Smith's character hates technology and doesn't trust robots. That's why he doesnt use the auto-pilot of his car but drives it manually, that's why he listens to Stevie Wonder and that"s why he wears Chuck Taylors. He likes what's old and vintage.

Everybody keeps saying things like "Sellout" and pathetic, and whatever... but Converse are iconic of "old school". The converse was a pretty good way of showing what this character was all about, sure it may have actually been product placement, but the shoes represented what the character was... he was down to earth, anti-technology, but he got what needed to be done, done. The shoe is the character personified.
