1) No. Yaoi refers to canonly sexually explicit homosexual series. So..porn, essentially. (Or Doujins, kind of)

Slash is non-canon boy/boy fan pairings. So, Ash and Gary are Slash.

2) The anime characters are not equivalent to their game an manga counterparts. Red and Ash (As well as, but to a lesser extent, Green and Gary) are very different characters.
