True, but what makes Jordan so great is he did it when teams had a salary cap and trading. In those days players stayed with one team. He and pippen won 6 togehter. They had 2 totally different teams on both 3 peats and still was winning. They have won more games than anyone else, and their titles are spread out over the entire life of the NBA. Most of the Celtics titles came in the 50's and 60's when there were only between 8 and 13 teams in the league. The Celtics sucked from 1990 to 2007. Third, the 1996 Bulls is the Greatest TEAM ever because they could have won the championship in any year.

Rebounds destroy fast break, that's been a fundamental notion that was shown time and time again. Guess what...Rodman's rpg alone equated to three of the Lakers starting team members from the 87 squad combined (Magic, Worthy, Scott).
The 80's was great I was a teen growing up watching that era, but the fact that people keep flying over the part that they didn't play dominant D until the Detroit Pistons showed up eludes me.
1996 Bulls played better both ends of the court.

In the 80's they practice just as hard a playing a game. Why do you think Magic and Scott came up lame in '89. Pat Riley never let up and at 30 is actually like 40 after running your ass off for 10-13 years. That shit takes a toll. Players complained about Riley and Scotts practices after 80s era.

Ya know, I can sorta agree with you, imo, either 96 or 92 can be argued here. Simply because in overall talent, that 92 Team was more stacked, plus they had a Prime Jordan and Pippen, and a Prime Jordan was absolutely DOMINANT.
However, as good as they were, I believe the 96 Bulls did something much better, defensively they were better overall through out the season and really showed it dominantly.
I still regard this or that 92 team as the greatest of all time imo.

The first half of the decade saw a watered down league due to the ABA having about 30-40% of the talent, and the 2nd half had a bunch of mediocre teams winning the title (Golden St., Portland, Washington, Seattle).

Greatest Team of all time, statistically they the overall BEST TEAM, if your a stats freak.
However, I look beyond that, they were not only a strong scoring team, but had a deep bench, Kukoc won 6th man of they yr award. It takes nearly 4 87 laker plyrs to average Rodman's rpg's that yr.
Compared to others, they held teams to 92 ppg's, which is PHENOMENAL! 3 teams over 60+ game wins and 7 teams over 50+ that yr, so there was no lack of good comp.

I think the 1992 Bulls was better than the 1996 Bulls..
the 92 Bulls were 67-15 and had great inside presence with Grant and Cartwright...which the 96 Bulls didn't really have with only Rodman patrolling the middle
92 Bulls also had a better overall depth..with King, Armstrong, Hodges, and Livingston...Kerr and Kukoc were the only good bench players for the 96 Bulls..
Overall the 92 Bulls were better with their depth and inside presence...plus they also had a young MJ..=)

I do think the Bulls would win but I think the Celtics would give them more of a test than any other team from 1996 did!
