  • holy crap you look like that guy from that movie

  • You can complete this challenge on tribesports/./com

  • Good luck !

  • You are (were?) certainly stronger than I am, but those aren't really push-ups.

When doing push-ups your arms should be perpendicular to the floor, and your body should be straight all the time. And you should also go all the way down. Try this, they are preeeeetty tough compared to these.

  • i did 8 at my initial test.not giving up.^^

  • i'm surprised you aren't moving along faster....maybe it's cuz you're older than me, but i'm doing all of the workouts that guy has (200 squats, 200 sit ups, & 100 pushups) and it seems like every time the exhaustion test comes around, i at least double what i was doing before....also, why'd you stop at week 4? did you quit or just not bother making the final test vid?

  • thing is...

    it all dont matter...

it is better to ACTUALLY do it slowly up to ten....

rather than doing it up to 100 fast...

  • Doing pushups fast is not how your supposed to do pushups. Count to 3 or 4 seconds while going down then do one second going up

  • First train with dumbells your biceps and triceps and shoulders

  • you cant bouild muscle if u do it like that trust me on it

  • are you doing youre push ups on youre knees??

  • @kaplan49XXX Heeeey, I'm weak but not THAT weak! ^_^

  • @kaplan49XXX yeah sorry it just looked like that

  • How many can you do now man? Lol, keep working out man, it's worth it. I'm 14 and I sure don't get worn out by 30 :p

  • wow u can do pushups mega fast lmao :P k.o

  • i am really not trying to bragg, or say im better than anyone else, cause i know there are other people that can do this, but i can do 50 push-ups, on my knuckles, on an asphalt sidewalk

  • nice i just got 2 50

  • i can do 63.

  • @Gritaans i can do 80

  • thats really bad for your joints try doing them on ur fists

  • this guy looks like a meth head

  • i'm also now @week2, day 2. but it is better to repeate a week, because i can do all 16 for example slowly....or schoul i do the pushups a lil' bit faster?

  • You probably weighed a lot less at 15, man. I remember in Jr. High I didn't do a lot of push ups, but during my sit up test, when coach would yell at the 30 seconds left, I would actually curl faster to get a higher score. :P Children are insane.

  • its been a year for me im 16, i bench 120lb and can do 47 pushups, not pussy ones - on my knuckles and slowly about 2-4 seconds per pushup

  • @crazycake93 Mah hero!

  • @crazycake93 Lmao, you sound like a prodigy. Sike motherfucker, you are weak, when I was 13 I was benching 120, now I'm 18, and i went from a 295 bench to a 245 one lol, haven't worked out in forever.

  • slacker you could easily do 2 more

  • i can do 40 in a row my goal is to do 100 in a row but im in no hurry

  • Im doin the same thing lol. You made it interesting though. How many can you do nowadays?

  • i can do like 20 xD

  • ur a poon hahahahaahaha

  • that´s impressive dude.. ;)

    very nice

  • i cud do 100 wen i was 14

  • take a deep breathe

    2.)clap your hands twice

    3.)think about someone you like

4.)copy this to 2 other videos

    5.)look at your hands 19

  • Hey im doing this to lol, but im on week 4 and at 63 push ups its great i went from 32 push ups to 63, Its amazing i can't wait to i hit 100 XD then 200

  • Nice job pushing for that 30. Probably just acid buildup in the muscles that killed you

  • nice job man! :)

    good luck!

  • i'm 23 and i do 96. Po=ozdro from poland

  • Is pausing at the top allowed!? Getting rest in the middle to get some energy back... hmm :)

  • hehehe:Dloooooser

  • i can do 42, but if i rest and do more sets i can do over 100 maybe even 200 ive never tried for that many though

  • for warm ups in p.e. i have to do 30! i'm 13 and it's easy to do 30

  • ya, same. thats what we do

  • i think i'm going to star the programme! i'm 19 ( a girl) pretty fit but i can barely do 8 push ups LOL! soooo lame i know!

  • im on week 2 of this program, my initial test was 25

  • i can do hmm.... about 70 push ups. but work on it, just working out in the gym

  • I see a chinup bar by the wall. Whats your best at those and non-stop situps or leg lifts?

  • hes a freakk:)...

  • Btw, I love your tattoo of Jack. Big fan of that movie :)

  • i can do 11 on 3 fingers! beat that!

  • o yeah? well a can do 10 on my dick..beat that

  • boy you would last a day in army, im teelin you boy you would get a face full of boot

  • Yeah, no. I don't feel compelled to join the army, really. As a pacifist, it's not a goal of mine. You have fun, though, with the face-kicking and gun-shooting.

  • I can do 50 and im 9

  • You're awesome. I think you might be my idol.

  • prove it make a vid then

  • @lovetowatchvids not to brag but i was doing 75 when i was around that age. and the funny thing is i'm stronger now but cant do as much because i'm not use to doing push ups now. more of a weights guy

  • @lovetowatchvids

    sure :/

  • I could do 50 push-ups when I was in middle school... but then I stopped playing Soccer and became a theatre-geek. Woe.

  • I used to be able to do 50 on my knuckles, but that was back in the day.

  • Push ups rock...

  • damn your not suppose to just bang them out like that u gotta take your time with maybe 3 seconds between each push up to get the max potential of the push up

  • are u that daft u cant see that parts are sped up

  • actually the video is in real time he only completed 30

  • your a fool, and your name is quite ironic

  • ok stfu now

  • it was sped up, smart one.

  • i agree. Pushups are the best form of overall exercise! Good luck!

  • if you spoke less, it would have been way better. I'm a girl, I do 32 when I'm not in shape. You could work out your flabby stomach too.

    Have a wild day/

  • stop bragging bitch

  • Good set Magnulus, nice technique an all. I usually do about 100 to 150 in one session but I use different methods of press ups just for a bit of variety. I practice martial arts and my Sifu told me a effective an simple tip whilst doing a press up, when u've gone down an u come back up, dont extend ur arms fully at the top, before u feel ur arms lock out to full extent simply go back down again and you keep that constant rythym going and u get a better workout.

  • Thanks... titman. ^_^

It's a very good tip, and I know I should be doing it, but it's easy to forget. Thanks to you reminding me, I'll try harder to remember in the future. Thanks!

  • very nice i do bout 100 a day but 30 at once lol

  • That's not bad at all. On monday, I took a total of 145 push-ups in the programme... Well, plus the 40 I did in the video. Considering that the first day was 45, I can't really complain. ^_^

  • i lold not judging u anymore

  • I recommend doing on knuckles, it will be much more useful. Specially at first steps, their will be a chance to win some time.

  • why would it be more useful doing them on knuckles?

  • for combat

  • Man i need to start doing that. I admit I am on the lazy side. I used to be so much better at that stuff when I was younger of course. *sigh*

  • damn, magnulus, i did day 2 on week 3 today and this time i only could manage to do 9 push ups for set 5. set 5 is always my big proplem. i think i will have to go back and repeat week 2.

  • Don't go back just yet. I think they actually mean for the training sessions to be more start-and-stop in style. See, by the end of the fourth week, the last set is 40, but then on the exhaustion test, if you can do 40 when you're WELL RESTED, you keep doing the highest tier, so they must mean for you to take pauses during the set. You'll see what I mean when I upload my video in a few hours.

  • thanks, magnulus, you are right, i can see what you mean, i think i`ll go on then...

  • come on lad chin up look forward ;)

  • Hahah, ain't part of the requirement for a good-form push, I'm afraid. Nor is the old "chest in the floor!" thing. You're supposed to stop before the floor for maximum effect (just like a bicep curl stops BEFORE the arm is entirely extended) and the whole chin-up thing is a matter of preference, depending on how you breathe more easily. Thanks for getting involved, though! ^_^

  • Hey Magnus try my method.

One Two miss a few Ninety Nine One Hundred.

    Works for me :p

Seriously it took me 6 months to get to 100.

6 weeks is asking a lot in my opinion.

  • I definitely think it's asking a lot, too. I'm starting to doubt the whole six-week thing, and not just because I'm already a week behind! ^_^

  • I hate chain mail, but I get so scared...Sorry...Sorry this is scary if u read this far u will die in 10 days if u dont send to any 15 videos in 2 hours good luck hope u dont die

  • i was talking to jesus right now... he said, you`re gonna die within the next year for spamming stupid stuff around.

  • Now now. I don't like those spammy things either, but there's not much to do about that kind of stupidity.

  • started today :), 14 years old and 3. column :) kinda hard though, cause i do pushups and situps at one time :-/, but i can do it :)

  • Rock on! Good luck on it! Let me know how you fare!

  • thanks, im doing good, but stopped the sit ups, i will do it after push ups :)

  • I didn't want to say, but that's probably a good idea. You COULD try doing the push-ups mon, wed and fri and then the situ-ups on tues, thurs and sat, but it's probably better to do the push-ups and then the sit-ups (keeping up doing some push-ups during that, of course. ^_^)

I'm planning on doing all three in due time, but one thing at a time is probably the way to go. ^_^

  • yeah, me too :)

  • i love it !

  • Shave your hair, shave your hair, shave your hair, shave your hair !

  • Hahahah, you wish! ^_^ It's just gonna grow longer and longer and longer.

  • I've been doing this too! =D

    Yaaaay pushups!

  • Awesome! Good luck, and let me know if you put up any videos to show progress! ^_^

  • I got 3 words for you my friend... Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.... I do it, and when I was in school (With much more time to focus on it) I combined it with a hardcore weightlifting regime and I was able to do 100 pushups in just over 3 1/2 minutes. Not to mention nearly 30 pull ups. Of course that isn't prime specimen but I am far from the viking god you are so who knows you could bve the 2nd coming of Thor!

  • I do the weightlifting every now and then, but can never stick with it for much more than two or three months or so before I start to get restless. I'd like to get back into some martial arts at some point, though.

Don't know about the whole viking god thing, and my sarcasmo-meter is off the charts, but I'm flattered all the same. ^_^

  • ah i started today :) im feeling ambitious about it :D btw dude where did you get your tattoos? was it over here in the UK or back in Norway?

  • Awesome! It's gonna get tough, but stick to it! If you feel you're lagging behind on it, do some shadow boxing after sets and stuff, that helps you to eak out a little bit extra from your muscles.

  • Oh! And every one of my tattoos were taken in different cities so far. I have Bergen, Copenhagen, Oslo, Alta, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Prague. They're my map. ^_^

  • ok, i did my-push ups today (2nd day of first week) and again i couldn`t manage the minimum number of required push-ups of the 5th set... i keep going on with the programme but i doubt that i will be able to do 100 in 6 weeks.

  • I'm having doubts about my own 6-week period, too. I might do fourth week or even third week a second time, but we'll see tomorrow, when I do day 3 of week 3.

They do say it's not essential to get through in six, but I really want to make it, you know?

  • Well done :) You continue the push-ups - I'll watch :)

Awesome Tatts by the way :)

  • Thanks. ^_^

  • Yeah... you do those push ups...

    Heh...

  • What... like this? *hnnnngh* And this? *uuunnnnh* Aaannnd this? *Huuurgh*

Mmmmm, I'm turning myself on just thinking about it. ^^

  • You should just leave your shirt off indefinitely for vids.

  • You'll be happy to hear that my wife's demanded that I do the rest of the push-up videos in my underpants. ^_^

  • I like your wife, very much.

  • This is bizarre. I'm basically sitting here watchin a guy do push-ups, and I'm enjoying it.. :)

  • It's inspirationalistasticular! That's why! ^_^

  • Ahaha, I can barely do one.

Wow I feel so weak and pathetic. T_T

  • Huh, my replies to you keep not getting through.

Don't worry, I know a lot of people who are in the same boat. Not pathetic and nothing to be ashamed of, but all the more reason to do the programme. ^_^

If you want to be able to do more right away, you can do knee-push-ups. The site (in description) has the instructions.

  • I was going to do it but then I kinda forgot. Plus I'm lazy. But only when it comes to exercise like this. I go jogging a lot though so I'm not completely hopeless. :D

  • Maybe I should do this. I'm applying to the US Naval Academy and I need to be able to do pushups. Thanks for posting this :)

  • You totally should! On the website, they also have programmes for sit-ups and lounges. If you're looking to do well for the Naval Academy, I'd suggest trying all of them (though maybe not all at the same time.) Maybe push-ups on mon-, wednes-, and friday and then sit-ups and lounges on tues-, thurs- and saturday. Hmmm..

  • good quality camera. gj

  • Thanks, Jake. This is actually one of the first harddrive-based HD cameras to hit the market, back in 2006. The full HD is a bit crap, since it's 1080i, but the 720p is gorgeous.

  • haha "so is your face".

I'm impressed that you're doing this. I have always been terrible at push ups and the like.

  • Yeah, hoping I can stop being terrible after this. ^_^ Thinking of doing the sit-ups and lounges after this.

  • Great job! Actually I got heavily into doing pushups a little over two years ago. I worked my way up to where I could do 130 of them. I didn't think that was possible when I first started. It probably took me 4 months to work up to 100. Then I had to have a surgery which was unrelated to the pushups and had to quit for 6 months. Then I started by and worked back up to a hundred in about 3 months. Then I made the mistake of incorporating some free weights into my routine and developed, cont.

  • some bicepts/shoulder tendonitis which is still bugging me. I'm not doing any pushups right now but have started a walking program. I prefer the pushups. They take less time than the walking and feeling yourself get stronger is psychologically uplifting. I hope to start them back someday. It'll be a while though.

Also up above where I say "started by" that should be "started back". Apparently neither pushups nor walking is a bad spelling preventative.

  • Wow, that's a shitty situation. Freeweights are dangerous, because if you're not doing it exactly right and you're not stretching the muscles enough after, you can get some really bad injuries. Obviously, Barbells are dangerous, too, but they're more contricting, so not as much.

I've been doing barbell/ machine/ freeweights programmes at the gym since early this year, but when there's no clear goal to it, I get a bit bored. Now I bicycle and do push-ups.

  • good job! i want to do this now, too!

  • You should! And judging from the size of your shoulders, you should be able to start at the third week or so, so we could end up finishing at the same time!

  • Maybe you're not the right one to ask, but I have a different problem with push-ups, I think my arms could do more, but so much blood rushes to my head that after about 4 or 5 I have to stop cause I feel my heart pumping in my ears.

Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?

  • When you do push-ups, it's important that you keep breathing. You can choose which way you do it, but I usually exhale when I lower myself and inhale as I push up. I forget to do it near the end here, which I why I got light-headed afterwards, but if you keep that kind of breathing up, you should be able to get much further.

Another thing I did wrong was that you're meant to keep your head up, which frees up the airways and makes breathing easier.

Let me know how it works out for you!

  • im 14 too :D:D:D i think i can take around 10, but thats it :-/, maybe i should try this too, could be fun :)

  • Definitely! And if you get through it, I know for a fact that you'll impress your peers with 100 push-ups. I didn't impress MY peers with 50 on my knuckles, but I was a sad, sad case. ^_^

  • oh my fuckig god the tattoo on your right arm is AWESOME XD

I would join you? but something came up :)

  • haha, that's very kind. Thank you. ^_^

I'm actually impressed with my friends, many of them joining in. Didn't think they would. So you go do that thing that came up. ^_^

  • Who needs shirts? ;-)

  • Certainly not I!

  • you're recording this for when you're 80 aren't you

  • What are you talking about? I'll be totally hot when I'm 80. I'll be like a mix between Brad Pitt and Gene Kelly. ^_^

  • Heheh, then I think you should join in! It's three times a week, and it doesn't take that long, either. It's tough, but that's kind of the point. ^_^

  • i could do 50 when i was 33. now i`m breaking down at 20 :/

  • WELL, then! That's almost the same as me! Is that a challenge? It'll be fun! We can compare how many we do at each test and in the end! ^_^

  • fine, magnulus, i take the competition. i will start tomorrow with my "first week" and post a vid-response after 6 weeks ;)

  • first. will do that, too. i need it.
