I hear this tune, then remember the horrific (scary) scene in which Lestat had thrown the whore in the coffin (not that she did not deserve it, when I read the explanation in the book two), and I shiver all over my body. It really scares the shit out of me. Not kidding. I am frightened. No bloody scenes frighten me but Lestat´s sociopathic behavior there was... just gruesome.
@RosesNightengales Hey, no sorry I do not have that music but I'm hoping to upload it once I have a god qaulity version of it. Just search it on youtube - Haydn - Adagio E Cantabile.
@RosesNightengales such a coincidence.. i just got through watching this movie for the first time (a bit late, i know) and I came immediately to YouTube in search of it.. GREAT piece!
stuart towsend was a hotty in this part, but cruise was born to play this part after reading the novel cruise was perfect. his mannerisms, boldness acceptance, arrogance, where just perfect, he had it all...now if we can pull him away from jumping on couches, katy holmes and scientology maybe we can get him back!
I hate recitatives with a passion, which is usually why I can never remember what the word means. This is not one.
In an opera, oratorio, cantata, or other multi-movement vocal compositions, a recitative is a narrative song that describes some action, thought, or emotion. The recitative follows the natural flow of the language, and is more a speaking composition than a singing composition. The two styles of recitative are the dry (secco) style and the accompanied style.
I saw the movie first and loved it. Then I got my hands on all the books. I had Tom cruise in my head already as Lestat while reading all the books LOL it was really good!!! Tom Cruise was "born" to be Lestat!
And Anne Rice initially was against Cruise's casting as Lestat. When she saw his performance however, she was convinced the film crew had made the right choice.
Can someone please please tell me where I can download this music or buy it? Cuz this is my most favorite ever! I mean, when I listen to this music, it helps a lot especially when I read Anne Rice's books and stuff cuz it makes me feel like I'm really in the actual scene!!!
pleaseeee!!! tell meee! is this the original title or something??
Who can send me the full soundtrack as a mp3 format? thats will be very nice :-)))) Because, i neeeeeeeed!!!!! this one! XXTHankyou very muchXX from Germany, please write me!

Cruise made the perfect Lestat. Why should we change it? If we get another movie I'd want Cruise to be Lestat.

My only insatisfaction with this film was Antonio Banderas casting as Armand.
