I just bought Fly racing maverick Mx boots will this technique work for them aswell? They are my first pair of mx boots and im having trouble shifting missing gears etc... and thats not good when im trying to break in my new top end xD, but yeah any feedback would be great :D , good vid.

I just got a pair of 2012 Fly Maverick boots and those mother fuckers do NOT want to break in. Maybe I should spend more than 90 dollars on boots lol

@LAXman1496 Hey bro ,I bought the same exact boots as you,Try taking a wat rag and rub it on the areas where it is stiff and the put them on kneel down on the toes of ur boots and try to get them to bend, I just tried this about an hour ago just got back from riding and i didnt miss one shift ,Hope this helps.

Ok im 17 % ft 11 and about 155 pounds and i ride a yz 125 but i wear a size 13 And i Wear a size 13 Maverick mx boot Is this going to be a problem for me shifting kickstarting or breaking , i have only wore my Regular everyday shoes while riding and it seems fine but i just got new boots and don't want bad things to happen when i ride.

i just love to see older people riding motocross, it just shows that you dont have to be a teenager or a young adult to ride motocross, i am a teenager myself, but people might understand that you dont have to be really young to start riding motocross, actualy, the club im in actuely have had some 40 year olds just starting to ride mx and are stilling riding mx today, either because they needed to try something new or because their kids are riding motocross! =)

I have some Black tech 7's and some white tech 10's I also have some Gaerne Sg 12's and i have to say i like the tech 10's better but the sg 12's have something the tech 10's dont, and thats the adjustable top plastic panel for knee braces. But still i like tech 10's better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Yes, getting the boots wet will help break them in as well.

@Semics5 Another thing helping is putting some chain oil for 24 hours be4 u wear it and then clean them

I just bought some Gaerne SG12 but I feel like I've got way too much vertical space at my toes. The length is ok but even when fit tight I can move my toes up and down like 1/2''. Is this normal? Should I wear thicker socks?

No you shouldn't have that much space up and down with your toes. I would say the boots don't fit correctly. I wouldn't want to wear thicker socks to try and compensate for the problem. It will make your feet hotter. I don't know, you should have bought Alpinestars.

I bought the black fox comp 5 boots a week or two ago and I totally regret it. First of all, my dad convinced me to get black instead of white because the black ones are easier to clean but they don't look nearly as good as the white ones do. They were 150 and the Tech 3s I wanted were 199. I'm pretty pissed at myself for not just spending the extra 50 bucks. Theres a life lesson-Don't be cheap-.

Yeah, I'm not happy with mine lol. The Alpinestar tech 3 boot is only 200 bucks so I think I'm gonna sell my fox boots since I've used them like once and buy some white/black tech 3s.
