There's no part missing, it's just the radio edit. the "promise me that you'll leaver the light on" part is skipped, and from the second chorus is goes to the "'cause you asked for it, 'cause you need one, you see..." after it.

i play this song on piano. it's the piano/karaoke version. all the lyrics are right except in the piano version they took out the entire 'promise me' chunk. i swear start singing at :12 and everything will work just take out the 'promise me" part until it says "because i say i wont wrie you a love song" you start after that line and continue on normally.
