To those who are saying Baume & Mercier is bad, clearly you bought replicas, I doubt you actually bought a real one. I have a B&M self-winding watch from the late 1970's and it still works like a charm. And like klyuchkin said, 200$ ebay watches will definitely break.
Beware of this watchmaker! I bought a Classima Executive 8688 a few months ago which was faulty, they replaced it with another faulty watch, they replaced this one with another faulty watch, and finally, the fourth time round, I received a defect-free watch. In order to compensate me, they sent me a table-top watch - which is also faulty - LOL. I have two words for this company - ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC - steer clear from this company people!
@hagailb Easy there skippy! That was your bad experience what was faulty about your watches?? Baume & Mercier is an excellent watch maker. Their watches are COSC certified and in my opinion beautifully crafted. I own a Capeland S (4 yrs) and I have not experienced any problems at all. Baume & Mercier has been great for me.

Watch 1 had a black curly hair btwn the dial and the glass that kept getting knocked around by the seconds hand.
Watch 2 had a seconds hand that didn't move.
Watch 3 had a red blotch on the dial between 6 and 7 o'clock.
Watch 4 is defect-free - YEEHAA - over a month after original purchase.
Watch 5 - sent to me for compensation - had an alarm that went off 12 minutes early.
They just don't know hot to make watches - that's a 20% defect free rate - whatcha think bout that tiger?
