I love this band, but come off it! Get your ass on stage and do what you're paid for. I saw them in 2001 when Weiland was sober and healthy and they were AMAZING. Lately it's just been sad.
r u kidding me 2001 he was doin alot more herion than u think .... n hes not on drugs righht now he was drunk this night...he kicked all of his ilegal habits n now he drinks n i kno this cuz i was backstage n he was wasted n could barely speak wen they found him in the trailer n they came on late cuz they treid to let him sober up
This clip is over a year old, and right now Scott's voice sounds better than it has since before he joined Velvet Revolver. Find a video from November 23rd of this year. I don't remember where they played.
then between those 5 years their was other music that i listend too im a big fan of 80's metal and thrash metal and i like a lot more grunge and some punk metal i mean it is just fuckin amazing
It really is remacable...I watched them on tv when i was 6 when they were doing a house of bluse show and i gatta say that was one of the best moments of my life...when they broke up ande my dad told me i swear to god i spent a day in my room just crying and playing stp...I had givin up on rock when that happened and went too rap(stupid chice)and i finally relized i was stupid so a year later i went back to rock and then all the rumors of the runion and it took 5 years for it too work now new cd
I was their 12th row and for a myself a 15yr old and ive been a fan since i was 6..... it was the happiest day of my life and i got to share the experince with the man who intorduced me to this kind of music and this band....... My DAD
I was there and it took them 2 HOURS to come out. Well not "them" I mean Scott. He showed up late to PNC and then took his time coming out to the stage. The show sucked and it was very disappointing.
I was in the 2nd row at this show, and yeah it was bad. At the beginning during his rambling he apologizes for ruining the show. But I just saw them again on Aug. 6 at Jones Beach and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! When Scott has his shit together he's awesome!!!
This clip makes me want to cry... I really want to see Scott get his act together, and this just doesn't look or sound good at all! He can barely hit the notes.
I saw this show live at PNC 5/31 and it was f*cking terrible. I almost felt bad that the crowd was cheering. It was like "Scott, you're a mess and we love it." Scott needs to clean up, if not for the fans, for his general well being. Richard Patrick did it and Filter was awesome. Bobby, Dean, and Eric were dead on and carried Scott throughout the whole show.
Its funny though how when Scott started this ramble, Bobby just cuts him off.
its a shame u guys had to see this show, ive heard things about it tho i wasnt there, i was there at mohegan sun when they played a few shows earlier in may, they were absolutely unreal,so no worries about them slcking, think this was just one bad show
I don't know, I have mixed feelings about this show. My wife and I saw them back in 2000when they toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. That show was far better than this one, but I agree with what most have said about the band; drums and guitars were as tight and sounded as beautiful as any band I had ever heard. Regrettably, this tour is likely a final chapter in the storied career of a band that defined a bygone era of great music. I, for one, will miss them.
i was there and that shit kicked ass. first off, give credit where credit is due Filter was amazing, them i know the wait was long but once STP came on THEY CAME ON!!!. i don;t care how doped up scott was(and eddie vedder blows by the way)and playing 17 songs til midnight made up for it without a doubt.
dean deleo's guitar exibitions he put on basically between every song was fuckign amazing, i mean im sorry if you people dont appreciate a great rock show
I feel for those who went to this particular concert, but in the big picture this adds to STP's legacy. They have always been full of ups and downs. This will be looked back upon and remembered as something that makes STP who they are. An unpredictable, creative, powerhouse of a band.
You gotta admit, it was a great show, because they're probably not going to make it much longer, but we all saw them before they go face first into the dirt and don't reunite until theyre like in their late 60's. The show we saw was historic in the sense that it had big +'s and big -'s. Theres some shit on Blabbermouth about this show from like June 2nd or 1st I believe. It explains the "long wait" we endured. Read it. If you haven't already.
there too, and man was that a wait. first and prolly only STP show. that made me like it so much more than i prolly should. hearing it here makes me realize how crappy Scott was. so out of tune, and just not caring. it's laughable. the band was spot on though, what a druged out mess Scott was. i suggest trying to find a pic of him online, the look of terror and confusion in his face is GREAT! thank u Meth and heroin, or acid who knows...
Saw STP at this show. Scott was in a terrible condition and it was a disappointing show. Too bad this was my first STP live experience. Everything he said to the audience (which was limited) was incoherent.
I was also at this show & it was honestly the worst concert that i've ever been to. We had to leave after the third song because i just couldn't stand it! Scott needs to get his act together big time. AND they need to make it up to us by playing another show (like that would actually happen). Thanks for posting the video!
Dudes, I was there on a KROC free ticket, Scott didn't come out for the meet n greet, what a lame ass, he sounded like shit, the band was friggin awesome...I go fo the songs, my first STP show, what a disappointmnet, Eddie Vedder would never do a concert like that...
Yes, Eddie Vedder would never do something like that because Eddie Vedder sings in `Pearl Jam`, and 'Pearl Jam' is a band that is not called 'Stone Temple Pilots'.
Those comparisons are not necessary.
I hope Scott works on her own. His own talent doesn´t deserve this.
You really have no clue WHAT I'm saying, Weiland can't stand on his own, let alone go on a solo tour, just sayin he doesn't care about anyone but himslef. Pearl Jam would never let a crowd down.
Whoever thought this show was decent - not even good - must of been as stoned as Weiland. At least I only spent $35 on a ticket and $16 on 2 frigging Coors Lights (because the bar closed at 10PM - just another bummer in a night of bummers).
Scott is in a very bad place, too bad for the Jersey bros. We did not even stay for the show, after waiting over an hour and watching his pitiful performance it was NOT worth another hour to exit the lot. #1 worst concert in my SCRAPbook.
gjasr ur a dick, know one knows wat happened last night so shut the fuck up. STP was awsome scott sounded great, so did Rob,Dean and Eric. STP rocked the arts center!!! GREAT SHOW
Are you as high as Scot? He blew. Not only did he piss the entire crowd off and suck the energy out of the room with his antics, but he was off key for parts of at least five songs, sounded nazel, had no energy, did not do his signature moves, shall I go on? The band sounded great, but what a let down. I was at one of there last shows before the break up in Wallingford CT, and it blew this away. Believe me, I wanted so much for this to be great as I waited so long for it, but it was not.
GOD bless Scott. We saw him then and have seen him since. He is a great soul and wish him and the boys the best...GOD Bless STP. Great band.
