Really, and where were you when the Wings won last year and the Pens fans booed the Wings when they got the Cup?? Didn't hear the booing then did you, because there was. And the Wings fans were booing Crosby b/c he didn't go over and shake the Wings' hands. You never saw Yzerman or Lidstrom do that. Caught up in the moment my ass. It took 14 years for Yzerman to get his first Cup and he shook every hand on the Flyers before hoisting the Cup.

I was at the game and can tell you that the Wings fans DID NOT boo the Pens at all- You are confusing the booing that comes along with Buttman when he goes out on the ice (he happens to be the one that presents the cup) We all boo'd (including Pens fans at the game) until Cindy picked up the cup- Then there were cheers. Hockeytown respects the cup and wouldnt boo it being hoisted in the air by anyone (well maybe not Claude Lemieux) We also cheered Milkman and his award- Lastly we cheered Mario-

Maybe if you were a fan for longer than just the last two years, you would know what everyone is booing about each year the Cup is awarded. Watch ANY of the last 15 years during the ceromony and you will hear the same booing for the same reason- Later, I hung out with Pens fans at the Ren Cen bar area- They ALL said that the Wings fans were gracious in the loss and respected the Cup appropriately when hoisted. They ALL said they boo'd too when Buttman hit the ice- So shut it and learn a little!!

The Red Wings pregame opening during the playoffs is the best in the league! The giant octopus exploding down from the scoreboard is true brilliance. Other teams might have fancy light shows, but nothing is as cool as what they do at the Joe.

i saw some ppl like that...lol some hawks fans came to our area of seating and we all booed them too. we also had hawks fans come and tell a bunch of ppl to leave during practice bc they sat there....which they were lying, they thought where we were sitting was where the hawks came out at. which we were sitting by the wings bench..

Thanks. I sat 13th row this game. I've been to Wings games in the "Nosebleeds" and in the first few rows of the upper bowl. This was my first ever game in the lower bowl...and it is an unbelievable, truly humbling experience. There really isn't a bad seat at the Joe. The only things wrong with the Joe from a fan's standpoint is small seats and not enough bathrooms..both of which will be fixed when the Red Wings move to a new arena, probably sometime in the next five years. Let's Go Wings!!!

@dreforsleep For sure. I love the Joe. But I hope they build the new arena with the old Olympia outside and the Joe Louis Arena Inside. That would be so sweet. The new arena will most likely be right behind Hockeytown Cafe across from Comerica Park and Ford Field. Then all three would be within walking distance thus hopefully providing the other two stadiums' Parking Garages and lots. I really hope they keep the parking garage connected to the arena too. Just make a bigger garage.

@ILoveTorriesPuppies that would make alot more sense. and im actually hoping for the same thing. that would make it the greatest vintage styled arena currently. all these new arenas have these led lights going all the way around and 3 decks and whatnot. i want them to keep the 2 bowl layout without making it look like every other arena out there.
