i'm not a hairdresser and i don't understand. Since he cuts it all the same length on the back area, why not just cut it with the scissors horizontally in like 2 cuts? Why hold the scissors vertically and make about 500 cuts? Also, at the end, she can't even see outta one eye. She'll get hit by a bus! Can anyone answer my question please?

If he were to have cut the outline horizontally, it would have been more solid. By pointcutting the outline, he gave it a softer finish.

Also, creative haircuts are not usually about practicality. It's an artistic expression. Much like runway fashion vs. fashion that is sold in stores.

im a hairdressor so i can help your curiosity, if you cut it with 2 cuts it will end up very blunt, you could push the hair and then make it uneven also. doing multiple snips allows more texture movement along the bottom this being more flattering. it's not something you would see on camera, you'd have to see it in person
