that is the coolest thing ever!! Eurocopters rule! saw my first one when i was living in Belgium was an awesome sight, it flew all around the atomium.
Well, there goes the mystique of that hill... again technology shrinks our physical achievements and makes the world a smaller place. Still, there's 50 years of garbage and frozen bodies to be hauled off Everest's slopes. Perhaps it's time for that work to begin. Well done, Eurocopter.
@wtficantgetausername. This helicopter has been specially adapted for this extremely high flight. Eurocopter is the largest helicopter company in the world so has lots of knowledge and experience. I don`t think this was officially approved though by the company. Also check out cool things like the Eurocopter "Blue Edge rotor blade noise reduction" technology. There are video`s of it here on youtube.
Interesting. Someone should start a Mount Everest helicopter rescue service for all the climbers that get stranded up there. They usually have to be left to die on the mountain.
I guess that's one more thing I'll have to do when I get rich.
With over 170 bodies decorating the summit of Everest I would venture to speculate that there is a need/market for a chopper that was specifically designed for ultra high altitude rescue.
The Janus serum is up there. Dan and Amy rode this helicopter.
