  • My favorite Emotions song...those harmonies give me chills

  • They have aged very well...we should all be so blessed..

  • wow they look like 3 church ladies.

  • @RL789 haha well back in the late 1960s they started out in their Fathers church in Chicago before they came out with thier first hit "So I Can Love You" in 1969!! but they are still together and strong as ever because they always gave God the glory he deserved!!! To me they're the clark sisters of R&B music!!!

  • Ms Texas Pamela took Jeannete place year's ago this video was jeannete's last performance with the group the current member's are Shela, Wanda and Pamela don,t believe the hype.

  • I am a personal friend the emotions are my favorite group next to dennis edwards and the temptationscontinue to do what your dad taught you well may he rest in peace P.Hoard

  • This song takes me back to 1977, when my family and I drove from Indiana to Georgia for summer vacation. A Key to My Heart was playing on the radio. Good memories...

  • Damn I saw them sing this live in 1977. EWF, the Emotions and Deniece Williams were all on one concert ticket.

They blew my mind with their vocals. Oh man, I love these girls. I loved them way back when they were with Stax/Volt. Sheila is amazing.

  • That was a good show.. Also had a group name the POCKETS on that tour. DAT WAS THE BUM.........

  • part time lover

  • These girls sing so effortlessly then & now, man this song warms my heart in such an amazing way.

  • Those buttery vocals I could never get enough of. They are truly great!!!

  • @lovebeamer1 Lovin This Right Now! YESSSS!

  • Heralded as legendary in R&B circles, The Emotions are often overlooked in the POP world. One of the most talented and underrated groups in music history. WE LOVE YOU

  • I agree with sista they certainly proved singing from tyhe heart was just as important as talent

  • Chicago girls right there! They still sound great!

  • I had the pleasure of seeing The Emotions this past weekend, August 18, 2007 at Sunset Junction in Silverlake (Los Angeles, CA) and they are phenomenal. I had never seen them in concert before, and didn't know what to expect, but I'm a true fan now. They brought me to tears at least twice during their performance. On Sunday I purchased their "Best of The Emotions" CD and I haven't been able to stop listening.

  • Connected to EWF, they were one of the best vocal groups. I learned how to sing from my heart by listening to them.

  • I love these girls. I learned how to sing from playing their records. I have everything they ever put out on plastic and cd. I been looking for live stuff on them. I remeber this. Someone find the stuff from the old don kersioner's rock concert show.

  • lovebeamer please post some more Emotions

  • love the song...

  • The Emotions are always fiyah!!! What amazing blends and tones...WOW. I'm blessed to have worked with them on my current cd!!!

  • They had/have a very unique quality. Can't put my finger on it. But I listen to their greatest hits album all the time. The chart hits and the turntable hits are all so good. And Maurice White's production is amazing as one would expect. Thanks for this.

  • Thanks for posting this--brought tears to my eyes. Amazing harmony... :~)

  • The best female vocal harmony group.. Emotions. Great name, great band.

  • Indeed.

  • I saw the Emotions in June 2006 & wasn't sure what to expect, but surprisingly they were EXCELLENT..sounding pretty much the same as back in the day & singing pretty much in the same key it was recorded in...Again they were impressive. .. they sang this nearly accapella & all I could say was "DAMN" ...their harmony(not really audible here) was off the chain... please post any live footage from the 70's or 80's on the Emotions...

  • Although not great quality or sound,Thank U 4 posting this It's greatly appreciated.

  • that was soo beautiful..jeanette, sheila and wanda..wow..when i went to their website i think they will have a new cd be released this fall of 2007...lets hope soo..

  • let's hope so. they have other albums with other lables such as motown and red-lable.

    sincerely -red lable

    welcome to my world- columbia

    flowers - columbia

    sunbeam - columbia

rejoice - columbia The one for motown I have to look that title up. but it's one of the best

  • When was this performance?

  • This was on Motown Live, back in the summer of 1999.

  • Great song from the greatest of all female soul groups. Shame about the quality but hope it goes some way to showing the outide world they did far more than Bloody Boogie Wonderland. Keep it up ladies, you're the best.

  • So sorry about the quality "N"..I'm going to try to repost it soon.. I agree..The Emotions are the best..

  • @lovebeamer1 Just want to say "Thank You", for the effort. You know, i remember when vinyl albums would come out. You'd buy one, not thinking that one day, they would be out of print, and when you decided to go and get a fresh copy of one that one of your friends or relatives borrowed and/or scratched, it was all but too late!! lol The quality may not be as pristine as we prefer, but nevertheless, this generation can see and hear what true music SHOULD be about, even today....

  • Truly one of the best harmonic singing groups I have ever heard. Don't Ask My Neighbor is one of my favorite songs.
